Would love to really, and the bazaar looks fun but I just got back from Miri and still recovering from a fever. Anyway I think I'll send the B&W stuff to you, about 2 or 3 rolls. Will PM you.

The rest are C-41 though, any recommendations? I've read that E6 at Pudu is quite professional, anybody here tried their services?

Tried C-41 at E6, not that good for me during my last visit...and uber expensive...scanning alone costs about RM25...developing around RM15 if im not mistaken.

Moment in life.

Sure. Just pm me when you want to me to develop for you.

E6 is not too bad, but expensive. Try ColorDotCom at Damansara Utama. So far I've heard good reviews of them.

That's a myth. All scans need some post processing. Even if you ask the Fuji lab to scan them, their machine does some post processing. Scanning is transfer of data and there will be loss of data in transfers. So you need to tweak them to bring out the details, set the curves/levels correct and apply sharpening at least.

rx330,
developing the film is some kind of 'pp' - what chemical to use, etc.
print out is some kind of 'pp' - what type of paper used. burn, dodge, types of chemicals used. technique of printing, etc.

hmmm?
so what do you think yourself?

i think 'pp' is necessary to create something that we want. not necessary a must but i think it's necessary to do if one would like the image to be something that one sees in one's mind eyes

I think it is biggrin.gif.

But on the other hand people like HCB who do street photography is not that much into "performance". I think they are more interested in the the scene inside the picture, the moment, the faces of people. So I think HCB subcontracted his printing out. thumbup.gif

HCB's photographs are very different from Ansel Adam's photographs. Besides, by simply choosing this b/w film rather than that b/w film is already a 'pp'. no meh?

true! Haha! Some film gives more sharpness and others give more grain while others renders skin colours better.

Added on September 20, 2011, 3:04 pmrx330: no matter pp or not pp, you'll have to at least adjust the curves of the b&W photo to make it "pop". Else it would have just been in boring shades of grey. Your before and after pic above best represents this =]

*edit: p.s. Great shot! love it thumbup.gif
