hi, just found out that lowyat.net had a seiko thread. Been using this seiko for quite a while now...and very happy with it. The lightest metal watch that I have ever owned. Introducing the seiko Titanium Chrono SNA139P (7T62 movt)
This watch is a keeper for me as 200m Water Resist versions of this watch is quite rare. What I like : Light as hell What I dislike : Titanium bracelet is a scratch magnet (I guess i'll change it to a military style cordura strap when I have the time) This post has been edited by fariq_azad: Oct 25 2011, 12:52 PM

I found one that city chain subang parade once... looks kinda nice. This post has been edited by fariq_azad: Nov 8 2011, 10:45 AM

hmmm I have always wanted to know why seiko markes some of the automatics with a different colour in the bezel (sometimes on the face) from the 12 O'clock to the 4 O'clock? just like on the Seiko PEPSI's and even some Seiko 5's What does the marks mean? example of the SRP155K1 This post has been edited by fariq_azad: Nov 9 2011, 11:51 AM

QUOTE(fluffy6640 @ Nov 9 2011, 12:49 PM) @ fariq_azad & walikard; its always been a diver/submariner thing. but i did a little googling, and i found the below:- » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « "Most contemporary dive watches with conspicuous 15 or 20 minute markings on their bezels are the result of copying a Rolex bezel design of the 1950s. Back then divers typically planned a dive to a certain maximum depth based on now obsolete US Navy dive tables, and dove according to the planned dive profile. If the dive profile allowed a bottom time of 35 minutes the diver, upon entering the water, would set the marker on the bezel, 35 minutes ahead of the minute hand. The diver calculated this with the 60 - bottom time formulae (60 - 35 = 25, for 35 minutes bottom time the diver would align the 25 minute bezel-mark with the minute hand). Once the minute hand reached the main-marker on the bezel the diver would begin his ascent to the surface. The 15 or 20 minute scale helped with timing the ascent and whatever safety stop the diver deemed necessary. For contemporary diving methods the 15 or 20 minute "count-down" bezel is quite antiquated" the more here ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diving_watch#Bezel_markings@Nitheon dang! that's a nice collection! hehe. and yes, i would love to have the seamaster as the GRAIL! Thanks fluffy learnt sumthing new today...but the one from the picture I posted does not have a rotating bezel so I guess marking it red is purely for design sake? Nitheon : Nice collection... and Nice box too where can I get one of those boxes? That box would be perfect for since I only have 5 watches at the moment. I have a CASIO for my Beater... errr does GRAIL mean that the watch hardly sees action??? This post has been edited by fariq_azad: Nov 9 2011, 03:17 PM

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Feb 8 2012, 11:19 PM) RM 450 (FYI-- second hand) by the way, if i get the seiko not from Thong Sia, but with official warranty card let's say from UK, will they accept the warranty? heh, looks like I'm gonna find some seiko 5 from local watch shop, my mum just bashed me so bad not to buy online, scare if faulty will hmmm I think its good also..if you are gonna go for local shop can try Pertama Complex. Buy a watch is a personal affair better to go to shop and take your time and try out the watches. What "others" say is nice might not be nice to you. Its subjective.

Caved in and got me a "Raksasa Jingga"!!!! hahaha
On the hand...(please excuse the "bulu" huhu )
Tucked away in the weekly watch box... next to a seiko Titanium for good company I must confess that before this I was like "whats all the fuss on this big oranged face watch???" "Would'nt that orange face be too daring??" Boy have I been proven wrong... this is one watch in which you have see and feel in the flesh. As someone has told me... "You dont grab the Orange Monster....the Monster GRABS YOU!!!!" hahaha This post has been edited by fariq_azad: Feb 9 2012, 09:17 PM
