What function u want one ur sgs...only than can we recommend apss for u.

Have u dl app to monitor ur data usage? Use 3g watchdog netcounter.
Btw, r u with dara plan or pay per use.

I am on WIFI mostly. So I seldom surpass the 500MB plan that I am subscribed to. But I do use it for tethering sometimes, and when u tethering, you use alot of data. I tethered for 2 days and I used about 100MB of data, that includes downloading some music video files, and hate to say this but downloading with SGS actually faster than my streamyx 1MB plan. I then checked the speed and got about 3.6Mb/s of download speed but the ping rate is higher compare to streamyx. Still I can use it to play online games through my laptop and the experience is pretty smooth, not choppy as I expected. Of course, I need to be in the 'H' or '3G' zone to have that kind of experience.

I think Maxis design the higher MB plan for those who like to use their phone for tethering all the time in replacement of their home broadband. Because if normal users who use it to surf web using phone isn't using much data even though you are quite heavy users. And I am a heavy user who normally charge my phone at least twice a day. WIFI and browsing consumes battery fast..

yes GPS is temperamental indeed. i think its got to do with how its set to behave. with my Nokia N82 + Garmin I have NEVER lost signal halfway navigating, with the exception of entering tunnels. SGS + NDrive, the signal will be lost halfway under clear blue skies.. which is unacceptable IMO. hope froyo firmware package fixes it.

Google maps with navigation runs on data, thus sucking ur wallet dry, so bad u even have to sell ur wallet to pay the data charges. Lol

mkv is the hardest format i gone through, especially if you are watching an anime, even with psp so hard to get it display subtitiles, even many converter could not convert it with subtitle, mvideoplayer is the way to go to watch anime without the hassle of converting it, or losing the quality.

haha i havent tried it yet, but i found the ahem version, works well on the custom map haha, thats  why i rely on google maps before. functioning real well
if you dont mind your data being sucked lol

but i heard the trial mode also ok...ask other sifus regarding the trials one.

but like i said , you might not wanting to use google maps if youre in overseas,..especially if ur in europe hahahahah
thats why ima get europe maps now! gps without using data OWNS! hopefully itll work well regarding satelite locking system

i just remember that PAPAGO is  taiwan made, and supports mostly asian maps.
do y ou guys know what papago map file can  read? if i want to get European Maps??

JP2 so all of that is the firmware version, DXJP1, DXJG4 is the name of the firmware, some of it are not official ones, but logically say, more latest more stable and all of that, but that always not the case.
