I do leave Samsung Task Manager alone though. I don't know if it can be uninstalled. Music player and Internet, I do fully close it after use.

QUOTE(qwen234 @ Oct 4 2010, 09:24 PM) your battery life is amazing.. i usually have 30% left at the end of the day.. No specific settings that I can recall. I didn't even change 2G/3G settings manually. I think it is auto but 3G signal in my house is weak. I guess it might be using 2G most of the time. Using default twlauncher.are u using 3G connection? mind to share ur settings? like using launcherpro, handcent? haha.. thx i tried to switch.. i noticed that under settings my firmware do not have the option to do se QUOTE(Here-I-Come @ Oct 4 2010, 10:29 PM) wow,the most i get from this phone is 1 and a half day for normal usage. It doesn't last long when it is new. When I just got the phone, I just keep charging the battery. Charge, take out, play a while, about 90%, I charge it full again. After a week of repeated rapid charging, the battery indicator hardly falls.may i know what do you do for the battery when you first got the phone? QUOTE(Here-I-Come @ Oct 4 2010, 10:44 PM) No, I don't really overcharge and I unplug upon full charge. I watch the voltage so that it does not exceed 4200mV for too long.Maybe my batterystats.bin is messed up but one day, if the phone died while showing 30% remaining, I'll report in. |

QUOTE(keithchen @ Oct 5 2010, 11:06 PM) Are there any recommended msn messenger apps that doesn't run in background but send u push notifications similar to iphone..it really do helps to save my battery..i was from ios but i am in love with android..but "real" multitasking kinda suck up my juice.... MSN messenger on Android does not run on push system, so far none does so. There are other messenger that does push notification like whatsapp.QUOTE(SGSuser @ Oct 5 2010, 11:32 PM) Not too high. Normal. But try to keep the battery cool if you want it to last longer. |

I took the risk and flashed both PBL and SBL. Now my SGS has recovery/download mode.Added on October 7, 2010, 10:52 pm i guess my phones recovery mode is disabled, it straight goes to my normal mode after the singtel animation. |

My calender is synchronised to Google Calender and Facebook. There seems to be incomplete synchronisation with Facebook events and calender. Some friend's birthday doesn't appear for god knows what reason. Some events don't appear until it was 1 day past. Lol.. Not reliable.

QUOTE(hxcpride @ Oct 8 2010, 02:25 AM) yeah i know that, my only expectation that they fix it good, as long as no more lag and fixes some stuff then it should be good Facebook photos does get synchronised to contacts by linking the contacts. No need for apps.i mean we wouldnt want to rush things out ...like desire's froyo got bugs here and there..at least if its delayed, at least itll be a good version ones..not the UNFINISH version Added on October 8, 2010, 2:26 am Added on October 8, 2010, 2:27 am any reliable apps that can sync facebook picture to contact? that would be great...if its reliable! QUOTE(hxcpride @ Oct 8 2010, 02:43 AM) youre here as well lhongwuh, bought epikcase for my omnia 2 from u last time Tap on the checkbox of those unread email that you have already read. Click Mark Read.got SGS as well bro?? Added on October 8, 2010, 2:52 ami got question regarding the emails. i just combined my emails into one inbox ( hotmail & gmail) the annoying part is that how come the email notification stays there even after i read ...it happens sometimes...i have deleted or read those emails..it still says i have 4 emails icons on the display ?? QUOTE(NorthWInd @ Oct 8 2010, 09:10 AM) Guys, is S-Link distributor for samsung also? I bought my 16GB Galaxy S is Slink warranty instead of Brightstar Brightstar is no longer the distributor for Samsung. SME is the official distro now. S-Link is likely to be a AP distributor.QUOTE(GreenGoat @ Oct 8 2010, 12:25 PM) if i unroot my phone, what will happen to applications that require root? it will stop functioning or i shud remove the app 1st before unroot? The application will not be able to obtain superuser permission, and hence would fail in its operation. Either way is fine but if you want to play safe, remove the apps first.thanks |

QUOTE(Jason @ Oct 9 2010, 09:23 PM) cheap! Somewhat looks interesting but even better if it has protection even on the top of the phone. Haha...>20% cheaper gotta find out final quantity first ----- Today I went to Titiwangsa from Puchong. Previously I reported that the GPS never get to lock for >30 minutes. Today it was great. Instant lock, very good accuracy, no jumping, lagging and drifting of the map. I haven't changed anything though. The GPS must be very temperamental. |
