Theoretically push or C2DM in Android should save power. I just don't know why today I end up having 53% left only.Samsung Galaxy S I9000 Official Thread V5, Please read FAQ at 1st page!!

I did install something to write a review
I uninstalled the app and will observe the battery consumption tomorrow. While we are already speaking of the app review, let me get to it directly. Let me introduce Aptoide, the application repository for Android: http://mengsuan.blogspot.com/2010/10/aptoi...or-android.html For those who doesn't want to access external link, let me summarize. Aptoide is similar to iPhone's installous. An alternative for Market, you can get plenty of apps in it. Pretty nifty but doesn't have ALL apps from my quick test. |

I use wifi very extensively. I never had disconnection even when the signal becomes 0 bar. More reliable than any HTC PDA I used.

True. Everyone has that warning. Does not indicate firmware upgrade is available.

So far my screen is still perfect. But just thought of getting cheap DCMugen for rough rub to clean.

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Oct 16 2010, 06:17 PM) Using Samsung naked QUOTE(JustForFun @ Oct 16 2010, 06:22 PM) I have already given up on screen protectors, they are just so damn hard to install. No matter how many times I reinstall dust still gets stuck inside Need some patience. You must use sticky tape on your fingers to lift the protector and then remove dust. |

You need clean room. Use bathroom as substitute. Turn on warm water shower for 30 minutes, let the moisture bring down the dust. Then quickly bring in your phone and apply.

QUOTE(RoMa_84 @ Oct 16 2010, 09:10 PM) Mine's naked as well. 3 months w/out any scratch on the screen but the back part has many small 'scars'. Btw the screen is not 100% scratch proof. My friend's SGS and another friend's IP4 has tiny scratches already. But can only be seen in very bright lights and a certain angle. I got leather pouch. Everywhere no scratch. |

If you encounter lag or problem, do a reset. Most people find it smooth after reset.

Yes factory reset. But I have not flashed mine. I wait for at least UK firmware.

QUOTE(Narako @ Oct 18 2010, 05:51 PM) yea i plan to get this phone but i am not gonna pay rm2000+ for a defect in the phone.. is it possible the shop will replace it if i complain it has gps problem? cuz i plan to buy ap set Cannot. Every unit is likely to be the same. Similarly, you cannot ask for replacement because it lags. Every unit will lag. |

Yup, 3 button recovery can be fixed by flashing the bootloader. I fixed mine.
QUOTE(SGSuser @ Oct 18 2010, 10:24 PM) paiseh...mine got the 3 button recovery mode..didnt knew this until now, God bless Is it a sign of phone ---!---> PC? If it is, you bricked your phone and it's not normal. If it's a big triangle with android robot, that is download mode. Normal. Just push power button for long or pull battery to exit.holy $#%...I press something after I try the 3 button thg and now the an android and "!" icon appears on the screen...so this means I accidentally hard reset the phone?? QUOTE(SGSuser @ Oct 18 2010, 10:38 PM) erm it's a "!" in a triangle and an android beside it...There seems to be a selection of reboot system now, apply sdcard:update.zip, wipe data/factory reset/wipe cache partition...I dont know what to do now, cant exit recovery mode without rebooting it? That's recovery mode. Nothing abnormal. That's the whole purpose of 3 button recovery. You must reboot to exit. Usually I select reboot rather than holding power button.okay hold the power button already, phone restart...phew~~~~ almost heart attack...thanks a lot QUOTE(Mudmaniac @ Oct 18 2010, 10:39 PM) Haha, can. But I cannot be liable if your phone bricks. There is some risk to do the fix. Not every phone survives. |

Easy to fix easy to brick. When the bootloader fails, the phone bricks so hard that there would be totally no response. Not even charging.
