was looking for the related thread of racing game using wheels but not found one.. except under the computer section but when im asking about racing wheels on PS3 console there is no one know because everyone there is using on PC.

first reason im open this thread because my G27 RPM light was not function when playing with GT5P.
so what i know this is because not all PS3 games support.
not trying yet with NFS Shift coz no time to play lately..

hopefully u guys share what u know..

Okay the truth is i have not even tried the g25 with any of the racing games on the ps3. the wheel has been left idle from the date of its purchase sweat.gif reason? i don't have a suitable table to mount the wheel. now i am waiting for the mpc-r1 seat by moderno by end of this month. perhaps by then i will start using the wheel and share again my experience wink.gif

hi rave... well i have told it in first post.. main reason because im open this thread because my RPM meter on steering was not function.. already asked with the shop seller he also dont know..
and if u can see im also asked in mpc-r1 sale thread and he also dont know becoz never tried it on ps3.. and others topic such as gran turismo thread too but it seem like no one using G27 or maybe they r lazy too reply my question.. so thats why im open this thread...

well u r using G25 so u dont have RPM light... but ur wheels can make it up down gear and H gear...

yes im also still dont have racing frame currently using my wife IRON BOARD but yesterday my iron board dah patah, my wife dh marah2 hari ni she not iron my shirt. hahaha

I did some research, RPM and Paddle shift not working for GT5P which i am playing.
Now at S Courses, quite diff driving steering and controller. To me when in controller mode, main gasak and whack oni, but when driving steering have a tendency to drive like real car and avoid hitting the AI drivers.

Now learning to control with FFB level 5 oso tangan lenguh....hahahahah but damn fun, the H shifter must be activated by pressing triangle at any point of time in the race. If not the clutch pedal tak jalan.

Thats all i know.....

Still waiting for the game and my NFS Shift dah pinjam orang....kene amik balik and play....hahahahahah....


My setup is by buying a RM 49 table from tesco and a sofa....i think the frame will be overkill at home, and the missus will be on killer mode.....so i make do....so far its working fine for me....heheheheh

bro yup clucth pedal can be activated by push triangle button for the GT5P game..
just tried playing with NFS Shift, there is a option for the clucth but still not working.. i cant use my clucth yet or maybe its too early bcos just playing it so i cant modified yet.. all thing still locked.. need to unlock all engine item and after that maybe we can use clucth.. hehehe..

yeah bro, for us i think apiga or wheelstandpro suites better hahaha

as for G27 or DFGT, definitely G27 for the fuller experience due to the stronger FFB, manual gear shift and clutch, but be warn ... those fuller experience might just slow down your race record at first tongue.gif

not saying DFGT is bad though ... purely depend on what you seek smile.gif some people i know doesn't even know there are H shift and clutch in a car tongue.gif lol

apiga costly lar bro ... my friend bought it before, including shipping to KL comes to about 1.1k

wheelstandpro price seems fairer like jabz says but from the 'look' of things apiga does seems more sturdy and have option to add on the seat portion too if needed in the future wink.gif

for me, i'm trying to custom the stand as i don't need a beautiful piece, as long as it serves the purpose and cheap tongue.gif

looking for people that have the skill hahaha ..

Yeah i agree if you want to prolong your gaming experience. For me, i bought my first ever wheel in G27. Deep learning curve i tell u. Well at least

for few hours. Trying to get used to it, still and still using auto mode. blush.gif But for me, the experience is much different from using just the ds3.

Even when i say i use it in auto (better buy DFGT u say?), you could prolong it when u r used to it and u will have to re-learn it all over again when

using manual. So in that sense, i guess, you have more re-playability. blush.gif

once tried G25, the feeling of the steering grip, make me feel at home

ridge racer got pakai clutch 1 meh ???
actually in GT5 clutch is not really needed i think but u can't do proper throttle bleeping (game will auto do for u instead) , cant pop clutch to maintain drift longer, can't shift lock to initiate drift .. those minor minor details lor ..

pel, the mp1 doesnt suits me, i do not have tat kind of space, and i certainly want my setup to be stored away wen im not using it

think the steering as a hub, pedals, gear connects to it and power cable all connect to it, then outward only 1 usb cable.

the usb cable not very long .. i think max 2 meter or less and non changeable in my case sad.gif

hohoho.. nice one evo.. planned to get that pc table too. quite suiable..my problem is if i use that one, my monitor kinda big. 32inch tv in a close range like that not so suitable. will upload mine later.

Hmm.. But if i do this, my wheel are 2 far frm me. N i need to strech my leg for the paddle. Coz my wheel n my paddle are in straight angle.

Although G25 & G27 better simulates an original car wheel but when it comes to time trial, the DFGT should work better. The gated gearbox cannot shift as fast as the sequential gearbox of DFGT.

The G25/27 can be configured into a sequential gearbox but the shifting doesn't feel as good as DFGT. That's how I felt & so I ended up getting the DFGT. tongue.gif

If you guys are looking into drifting, then you should get the G25/27 as there's a clutch function that should help you drift better.

u'll get used to it. As a matter of drift, i don know how to do it with a wheel. Even countersteer is hard for me.

guys...im really in buying these wheels...but can't decide wether to buy DFGT or G27, pls help me make a choice.

FYI im consider myself beginner, never use wheels in game b4.

DFGT is much cheaper, can play all those racing game without any problem?

G27 High End wheels pricey, does it good for me for beginner?

For my projector can last upto 3000hours~ I'm not using it as my main display coz already got another LCD TV in the living room, so basically 2-3 hours per day mainly for gaming and blu-ray movies. You can change the bulb lamp for RM500 once it reaches the limit. biggrin.gif

Steering Wheel: Logitech G25
Problem: No movement on the steering ie no left or right but all the button & pedal shifter on the steering work fine
Question: Any idea what the problem might be & solution.......

probably no power supply connected? if u put the usb in the ps3, u can use the button but no wheel movement or forcefeedback

Still cant use the steering wheel without connecting power supply. Only that u get no FFB.

oh...becoz when i buy my dfgt the seller forgot to put inside the adapter. so i connect it to my ps3 and only can use the button and no wheel movement at all. Later i rage at the seller for coz me the trouble going back to his shop..lol

connect the power supply already however still no effect... The power led just flickers not a contiues light. anyway have to try again to fix it before GT5 roll out or not have to get G27 lorrr huhuhhu $$$$$$ terbang lagi... TQVM for the response....

Guys,

Anybody knows where I can get the Fanatec Porshe steering wheel locally? specifically the model which can work with PS3/X360/PC.

Getting tired of switching my G25 & Xbox wheel on my cockpit, and the ms-xbox wheel sucks monkey ass.

Guys maybe we should do a weekly or monthly get together online to have a driving session. Friendly race not a competitive one....just to group together and have fun and maybe share some tips on the games we have.

Perhaps like each week depending on the game available i.e NFS, GT5P or GT5 or other games for PS3.

XBOX guys can branch their games out as well...

What do u think...that way we can share more info and have fun making new friends online as well....

however, need a stand/frame or table for the steering and shifter...don't need the seat and pedals stand...

I think can, bcos i can track using poslaju website using the tracking no. they gave me. The status "Departure from outward OE" actually is from poslaju.

Cant say its cheapest or not. But, with the quality n sturdiness that come with that price, it's consider ok compare to other wheel stand. If u come across cheaper n better product, do let me know ... biggrin.gif

I ordered from http://www.wheelstandpro.hk, but the website is in mandarin. sweat.gif But, u dont need to read their website, like me, just e-mail what u want then he will guide u from a to z.

I specifically asked for the model that support DFGT, G25 n G27 ... so this is what they quote me :

and for the apiga,we can adjust how high the mount?like maybe,my own chair might be quite high or low

wanna ask that is it normal the gears feel loose when shifting?
(i mean very easy to shift gears without using too much energy)

Finally, got my Wheel Stand Pro in perfect condition all the way from Poland. N wow ... it's really compact n sturdy n the pole in between the leg not bothering me at all biggrin.gif

btw the stand not bothering probably because you're using DFGT while the G25/27 has 3 pedals and there's 1 in the middle
it might not be convenient lol

Yeah, if using G25/27, when u fold it, the middle pole/stand will land on the brake pedal.

just got myself G27 today. I collected it at sg wang but parked my car at pavillion. god damn berat macm batu... i had to carry it all the way from sg wang to pavillion LOL

If u can fork out RM700 to get Wheel Stand Pro, why not add another RM200+ to get the MPC Simulator Cockpit? Unless you've space problem just like rx330 or other problems, IMO MPC is far more worth to get compare to wheel stand.

i have apiga ap2 and g27 and been using it for about 6-7 months now..all i can say is that, i am very satisfied with g27..its a great steering wheel and got no problem at all until now..but i would not recommend u guys to buy apiga..its very heavy, space consuming (tho u can fold it, u rarely will), and the only thing that makes your stand firmly stick to the floor is the rubber piece underneath the leg support - its not glued firm enough to the floor (so u'll need to readjust the stand like every few minutes with ur leg while driving smile.gif ) and the rubber piece will tercabut / worn out after a few months.

Trust me its very heavy..

u seem too worried about the rubber piece at the bottom for ap2 stand..hehe..but imo, u asked the wrong person (new buyer) for the problem..if the stand is new, surely the rubber piece looks perfect..after about 7-12 months then only the rubber will tercabut from the leg..

problem is, the only thing that ensure the stand to stick to the floor like glue is the rubber piece, which imo not a good design..other stand might have other mechanism for this purpose, but for ap2, these 4 pcs of thin rubber is the only thing that ensure the stand stick to the floor..only time will tell when the rubber piece will lasts..

theoretically, if you can attach your seat to the stand, then this problem might be solved..the stand will have no tendency to be pushed forward (when you press the pedal with your feet)..less movement of the stand means longer lifetime of the rubber piece..as simple as that..

the table is not that stable and wooble a bit...if not careful it may tumble down towards the steering...
u can mount the shifter but it's not firm...coz the table is a bit too slim for it to hold on to...so i have to insert some thick paper in between...

i didnt get the brada coz i dun have a driller or can think of any means to drill a hole thru it....
which makes the pedal have to placed a bit more farther....

temp solution: have to insert my bantal busuk at the chair so that i would sit nearer towards the pedal and the steering as well...

not a perfect cockpit...but it'll have to do one way of the other tonight.... sweat.gif

Im from Sarawak. Pos Malaysia called me then told me my parcel was held at their processing centre / pos office. So, i just went there, collect the parcel n bring it to the customs counter which is within the same building. Opened the box for them to see, n they asked me what is it, so i tell him it's video game's accessories to mount the steering wheel for video game. Then, he asked me how much i bought it, then he go inside n come out with a bill. I take the bill to the another counter to pay the tax n then gave him a copy of receipt then off i go. Fast n easy, no form to fill, 2-3 questions asked only. No need to appoint agent. smile.gif

is driving force pro the same as driving force GT?

assuming i am a casual player, should i just get this or should i go all the way for a G27? Btw, i wont be in budget any sooner to get a proper seat for them too....could only strap to table if any.
