Bought Samsung 46" LED 6200 last month at RM6050 (model 6200 only sold by SenQ), superb quality, with MKV playback (direct play downloaded movies). I'm a pro-Samsung Look at Samsung series 9 LED and u will know why Samsung's technology has always been ahead of others. Just my personal 2 cents.

the thing that makes me undecided is the panel lottery thingy with Samsung and Sony LCD TV...if u unlucky u get lower quality panel...which is bad...unless the shops allow us to open each box and check which panel version before buying |

I own a Samsung UA46C6900, and I must say the picture quality is very good, both with Astro Byond ad Blue Ray. On analog Astro also not bad and much better than LCD.

Panasonic THL42D25K.. ??????? Thanks ps: basically I'm looking for a 40"/42" LED/LCD tv that it USB connection can play ".mkv" files |

i personally will recommend Samsung LED, reason
1) 1st brand lauching LED commecial brand tv 2) ultra clear panal, because of this panal it give u more clear picture compare with other 3) usd support hd format like mkv, tp, ts file which other can't support 4) can play hard disk drive (HDD) because one of the usb slot having provide power consumption to HDD ........ but if u r looking for 3d tv, ......for ur information requirement fast respon for 3d tv very important.....for this reason i prefer panasonic because respone time for plasma always better than lcd and led hope this short guide info will help u |

Bought the Panasonic THL42D25K cos I quite liked the non-reflective surface. The outlook design isn't that fantastic but the screen colors look natural. Will try to feedback more once I get it delivered to the new place which would only be ready later this weekend or next week...
Some other things you'd probably know is that... ethernet for Skype and the sales person says that it can access media files from the network via ethernet. Not sure about eh USB port though... |

The USB port is usually for hooking up digicams for direct playback/display off them on your TV. Some other brands like LG, Samsung, Phillips, can playback limited avi/mkv files but with Panny, don't think they have this feature

I did a bit of research and considered the following model Samsung 46 UAC6900 @ RM6500 Samsung 46 C 6200 (SenQ Model) Sharp 46LC 820M @ RM6180 FOC BlueRAY Player. Without blueray RM6180 - 300 = RM5880 LG 47 SL90QD @ RM5800 Finally i got myself the Sharp simply because value for money. Samsung 46 UAC6900 is great in contrast and sharp but too bright for home viewing. Beware that in the shops normally they will set it to almost maximum brightness to make the picture stand out but not practical at home. Comparing Samsung and Sharp after calibration almost the same to my naked eyes. Both Samsung and Sharp are quite reflective but Sharp total beat Samsung here (Not a good thing). But at a price differences of RM620 this can be accepted Another model i wish to recomend. That LG 47 SL90D. Quite like the design. Its an old model but quality wise almost the same. |

Panny can run the mkv file... it has the Divx HD registration code. Need to register this b4 it can fully optimized for media file playback.
So far did not try this out as i am using HDD player from yangxi Panny with optimization, the power usage can go as low as 80W only. This is what i read from other forum |

I still sceptical on buying any LED Tv yet as that Harvey Norman guy told me that all LEDs TV available are not true LED but only LED backlight replacing previously used florescent backlighting through normal LCD glass.
Is this true? I mean i have amoled phone and i have seen super amoled screen (galaxy s) . Those screens are real LED (self lighted emitting diodes integrated into the TFT. So no liquid crystal is used (no LCD) Is there any TV like this? or people still buying LCD with LED backlighting and thought they are buying LED TV? LED backlighting is like all computer LCD monitor that has been around for ages. |

Personally I will get either Sony or Sharp LED backlight TV (no real LED yet as I know).
I not recommended Samsung as it give me un-natural look, too vivid color for me. ** Philip & LG is the two brand I will definitely avoid. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Nov 8 2010, 10:13 AM |

OMG, i used to open my notebook LCD monitor to find out that only few LEDs placed at the edge of the screen.
If this same technology the manufacturer claim to be LED screen TV and quoted high price then i guess consumers are being cheated with marketing propaganda. I mean florescent has been around for ages and known to save energy. I mean apart of slim and vivid screen how much you can save in electricity. |

The so called LED models were only available in the market around mid of last year so how could your friends be able to buy them a few years back as in your statement? Thinking to get Samsung LED TV. Interested in getting the Series 9 but heard only available 55" is it? My room can fit in nicely for 42" Max. ANy recommendation and place to purchase. Btw, heard my friends bought LED TV samsung few years back. Most of them said once LED spoil, the tv become blur and have with color and haft less color. I don't understand this. Has any one accoutered this matter before? Really freaking me out when people saying like this. |

QUOTE(parezz @ Nov 5 2010, 10:54 PM) I own this model also, used 5 month oledi.. hope not gimme any prob like what happen to you.. connect to PC with Quad 5770HD played NFS Shift dang nice, also work superb with XBOX 360 .. and yes HD Natural Motion with 100Hz LCD 2Ms i love it.. but my wife say it funny when watch movie da motion look like drama series, .. but no prob since there a preset for movie. Finally I just got my TV back. The service center has to do an one to one exchange as the TV LCD panel, power board and control board were all faulty. I hooked up my Pioneer DVD to the TV's CVI Component Inputs (the player doesn't has HDMI) put in "You've Got Mail" the picture quality was bad. The same movie from the same player when I hooked up to my previous Sharp TV the picture quality was way better. I still don't know what happen. I see no different in HD Natural Motion whether its on or off. The same goes to 100Hz LCD. I am really regret in getting this TV should have pay more to get a Sharp.Added on November 13, 2010, 1:33 am QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Nov 8 2010, 10:09 AM) Personally I will get either Sony or Sharp LED backlight TV (no real LED yet as I know). Sharp already has LED backlight TV in the market. A bit pricey though. Go check out at their website.I not recommended Samsung as it give me un-natural look, too vivid color for me. ** Philip & LG is the two brand I will definitely avoid. Best LED, IMO, buy Philips or Sharp. Philips HD Natural Motion Rocks. Sharp new 100HZ also pretty good and color is excellent. Don't buy Samsung or LG. |

All TVs also got breakdown rate. I heard LG and Samsung has even more... ....In this case, buy Sharp. I just bought my 2nd Sharp LCD....if u got budget go for the SHARP AQUOS LED Quatrron with motionflow 100Hz. It's lovely!generally, LG has bad PQ. Samsung is to dark or digitalized. SONY also very digitalized.....Sharp colour is more natural. This post has been edited by Matrix: Dec 8 2010, 03:00 PM |

Current leading brand are Sony, Samsung, Sharp. Althought Pana is stronger among the market but still behind these 3 brand.
Samsung still having picture quality consistency issue. Mean that diff series LED got diff kind of picture quality. |

Last week went to Subang one of the electrical shop, to see the LED TV, first I entered the shop, the Toshiba 47zv600 catched my eyes with it natural colour. After that I asked the sales person to compare the Samsung LED TV with the Toshiba 47zv600 LCD tv since this is the best among the LED and LCD tvs in demo. The sales person taken out one 46" series 6 LED tv and put side by side with the Toshiba 47ZV600, after some comparison, I found the Samsung PQ is quite fake compare to the Toshiba, which truly natural. The Samsung colour is very vivid until it become like very fake. And one thin I have found the the black level on the Toshiba is better than most of the LED tv, including the Samsung that we compared. Now I'm thinking to get the Toshiba, but heard the this Toshiba zv series is no longer in production, they have shifted to LED model. Should I get one and don't care about it?

My lovely brand:
Sony, Sharp & Panasonic Samsung too vivid for me... a bit un-natural. (+ I feel it fast motion is not ready great). ---------------------------------- Brand I won't consider: - Philip (bad design, bad PQ) - LG (bad PQ, not up pair with others) - Hitachi (never like this brand b4) - Sanyo (The worst LCD I ever see, I don't know they got LED or not, totally out!) Most important if the features meets your requirement, why not? Best if you can compare side by side for yourself at any electrical shop, bring also your HDD with your favourite movie and test it out. Cheers..... |

It is tactic to scare movie goers mah... ...but i read there is some function on higher end AVR to normalize this function....not really sure. But cheap HTIB definitely dun have such function.if watch Blu-Ray it sucks, cause the actor/actress voice will be so soft and the action scenes will be soooo loud For me, i try to reduce the volume after 10:30pm...even if i dun stay in condo....the vibration of my HT easily heard next door...So if i want loud effects, i try to watch weekend daytime... ...i am a good neighbour. I got it @ Desa Home theater @ Kepong with limited promotional price @ RM4699 each, but I got "special" discount by buying 2 Unit in 1 shot. Its pretty decent deal for a 47 inch LG LED high end model. I dont think they will give u this price if u only buy 1 unit. but you could try your luck if you got professional bargain skill.

QUOTE(lonely_dream @ Jan 8 2011, 07:46 PM) Well, I wish I have so many oprions like you all in West Malaysia but here in Sarawak, you really don't have many choice available. Even Sony KLV-55EX500 still priced at RM8999 while I read somewhere here it was offered at RM5999 with RM500 cash back |

QUOTE(willkso @ Jan 8 2011, 04:02 PM) Not sure about this, never seen yet. I check internet and found a small review on it (in chinese).http://product.pcpop.com/000209619/Features.html Some said pretty good, some said is bad. But overall said it is a great middle range TV. From Internet user said: - Good in motion smooth. - Sharpness image quality. (some said over sharpen) - Contrast not as bright as others. - Perfect white. - Perfect grey scale. - Slightly light lead on black. - Color reproduction not even, not as balance as others brand. - Able playback on RMVB format movie. (All China brand support on RMVB). Just go and see with your eyes and judge. The price wise is tempting me also last time, as it is quite cheap for a 40inch LED TV. Due to no display set and I not really trusted on China brand, end up I give up. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jan 9 2011, 01:03 PM |

I saw Hisense display at Courts. They were feeding it with vcd video so the quality is not really good. But compare with my LED when watching vcd Hisense does look inferior.
And I think they write there as made in Malaysia. |

Thanks to Andrew & xxboxx for the feedback for the HiSense. I actually brought my HiMedia HD200A media player there to test out the TV. It looks quite ok to me but hte setback was the warranty was only 1 year and for the 1 + 4 extended warranty by Courts itself, it cost RM1200+.
Too bad Sarawak here really not much choice for the those LCD/LED/Plasma choice.. If available, the price will be extremely expensive due to transportation etc.. |

I got my philips for 40pfl5605/98 rm2600 during christmas and rm 2600 for the philip hts 7140/98 blu-ray soundbar. Comes with 3 years warranty.
Picture quality from the box is too animated when watching avatar and clash of the titans for example. Can differentiate from what is real and what is done by graphics. Have to play with the picture setting to get the results that i want. |

ha..ha...finally finish looking at 3d tv for 3 brand(sony, samsung, panasonic). Thanks to harvey norman.my comments is
sony--->the effect not to real... samsung----->the effect ok.better than sony.but sometimes when the 3d effect is showing in the movie.you can see the double image and you can feel the 3d glass shutter moving.give some stress to your eyes. panasonic(plasma)----->very clear when playing 3d movies.the 3d efect superb!!!(ice age).less stress to the eye..will buy this panasonic in may this year.wait for the lower price. |

Guys, I got a 42" Pana LED FHD TV, comparing with other brands like Sharp, I find that the Pana for fast moving things in the picture, it tends to be snowwy / digitised around the moving item....is this something like known issue? Seems only Pana tends to have this??
Is there any settings I can effect to do away with that?? |

my post, taken from the pinned thread:
QUOTE no love for Philips LED TV? i just bought the 40PFL5605S/98 @ RM3350 from Megatex. yes i know it's a bit expensive than your local electrical shop but my parents insisted me buying from there. zzz. overall it's ok, with LED backlighting and 100hz refresh rate. but what i don't fancy is the menu laggyness. the remote control is quite ok, better from what i saw on the net regarding this LCD TV. (i think the one they reviewed an old version of this TV perhaps) |

Those who is buying LG LE5500 or 5400 LED, beware that although you could play the .mkv files directly but it won't output the sound if the file is DTS encoded..it could only output AC3...

Thanks to all the LED/LCD Guru's out there for your time regarding this.
Samsung LA40C530 or LG 42LD460/42LD450? 1) Mainly used for mom seeing astro/astro beyond 2) Used for Animations from 480p-720p(Using External non powered HDD or portable HDD), would be great with 1080p as well 3) Contemplating on using a hd media player instead of built in..need recommendations for this... 4) Can I use HDMI connecting from laptop/notebook to the TV? Would it burn my graphics card in the long run? 5) Should i go LED technology instead? Since its newer and new confirms the availability of spare parts in the coming 5-10years?... 6) Really hoping for good quality audio for the paid price as I'm really fussy when it comes to audio quality. Really having a headache choosing as this is my first time contemplating over purchasing a LED/LCD/Plasma TV... My main focus is for it to last a long and reasonable time in both terms of durability and repair(Spare part availability) Thanks alot! also about UA40C5000 for samsung and corresponding LED tv within its price range? Planning to get it before Chinese New year.. |

A few forumer complaint about Philips TV, i still bought a 32" Philips TV, i think the color and picture quality are very good.
The $ diff between LCD and LED is around 38% between Plilips models, i still think LED is the one to go considering the color of LCD (using CCT back light )will change to yellowish as time goes by. LED will not change color, better energy efficient, longer livespen. oh yes, the audio quality is so so only. This post has been edited by loyaney: Feb 15 2011, 10:12 AM |

Just bought LG 42LE5500 last Sunday, impressed with the pic quality, size etc.. hopefully its a good buy for me...
Just wanna ask all the sifu's here, how do I connect my 5.1 home theatre system to my LED TV if I want to play any file (ie; movie / mp3 file) from my external hard disc through the USB hub, ? Basically, the audio will come out from the TV speaker itself right but I want the audio to be blast using my audio system, any other setting that I need to do? Any idea where can i get the info in LYN.. Appreciate on the feedbacks... tks. newbiee here... This post has been edited by ayaumph: Apr 20 2011, 05:23 PM |

QUOTE(myst @ Apr 18 2011, 02:10 PM) R u you looking for a 3DTV... Anyway.. my opinion on 3DTV... LED/LCD 3D TV is not recommended because of ghosting/crosstalk issues.. If 3DTV.. better go for plasma.. yes.. plasma still hav ghosting/crosstalk.. but is lesser If buy 3D TV better go for 2011 model (dont get the 2010 model).. Ex720 and D6600 is 2011 model.. other model u can have a look is Pana ST30 (out soon), n samsung plasma PSXXD550 or PSXXD6900 (XX denotes the size) Oh yeah. ex720 is matte screen. D6600 is glossy screen. You can ask the shop to test the San Paolo Indy demo on the ex720 or D6600.. its a demo from sony 3D blu ray.. if u feel comfortable with it.. should be okie.. i quote from forumer here.. but dunno who la.. "trust your eyes"... hehehe Good luck I just make an 3D impression post a few week back.. have a read n comment on it.. drop any question there as well http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1825421 This post has been edited by azsace: Apr 22 2011, 11:25 AM |

QUOTE(jovigrunge @ Apr 25 2011, 06:58 AM) I have an insider info. Don't buy 47LE7500. The heat is quite hot and it burnt the panel but you can't see it without using a 3D glasses. No joke! I think numbertwo is right... this is not a 3D TV... Maybe u mistaken it with the LX model... Oh yeah, anyway, read from other forum, it is well known that LG 3D LX series has a lot of crosstalk/ghosting problem |

Of course I know that 47" LG LE7500 is not a 3D tv but a rather LED TV without 3D. The point is try wearing a 3D glasses and look at the panel. You can see few brown burn marks after a few months. The sales person showed me why he wouldn't want to recommend me this model by offering me his tips. Instead I get LG 47" LE 5500. Thanks to the salesman for being honest! nvr tried korean TV b4....used to support sony and sharp but pricing is too reasonable to say NO....so try lor haha no regrets....without plugging on my home theater the TV sound itself is already HIFI enough screen resolution....speechless....put it this way....watching non HD astro channels...b4 buying and after buying i felt like even for non HD channels its very close to HD effect As for astro HD channels....haha i think its close to bluray effect....even better than my dvd at times |

Sharp - LM820 2010 model (going to be obsolete i heard~~ ) - LM830 2011 model (3D, will it be too pricey? shall i wait~ ) ( both model ~1K diff ) Sony - EX720 Samsung - UA46d6600WR - UA46D6400UR (actually watz the diff ar?? y some said only senQ selling the 6600??) REMARK: heard that SAMSUNG reliability is no good... although pic quality is wonderful... need all SIFU expert here help.. is it true??? act the reason why i look at 3D models is i see the color they produce compare to 2D models.. is much diff.. and also the motion rate of the model is another main issue i take into consideration too much question here d.. sorry~~ Thanks for all your valuable time... coz i think until my head BIG BIG BIG d.. |

From what I heard, no matter what brand, still one or 2 will have issue, after 3 yrs. Currently issue champion is Philips.Panasonic & Sony also have problems but less. I guess it depends on your luck. Also, dun expect these TV to last more than 5 yrs. BTW, Samsung has the best technology & is the most sellable. You mean Philips has the most problem? May I know what is that ? From what I know, Philips has best refresh rate (2ms) for cheaper price. Its going to be tough if their panel has other problems.Panasonic & Sony also have problems but less. I guess it depends on your luck. Also, dun expect these TV to last more than 5 yrs. went around electronics shop to check out prices for LED TVs. Samsung 40D5000PR- RM2299. Was looking at 40inch.
However, i found out that SHARP's colour kinda captured my attention. But the only issue is the reflective screen (820m model), or else i would have already paid rm2.5k. Now they're slowly pushing 830m (3D) model. Above RM3K (out of my budget). |

The model you're eyeing has dropped rapidly from rm2599 to rm2000-2288. Since you have rm3k in your pocket, I would suggest taking a look at Sharp 830M (40inch) price range (2999-3299). I did a comparison between both Samsung and Sharp. I was particularly attracted by the Series 6 Samsung with their online features etc, but their price RM4K is outta my budget. But Sharp 830m wasn't that bad either, though it's a basic 3D model without online features (like Samsung) but the viewing experience was almost the same, if not better than Samsung (my own view). i got my eyes on samsung UA40D5000, but any other better ledTV within RM 3000 budget range.? thnks.... Bring your own movies in pendrive (like i did, mkv files) and ask the promoter to demo it for you. I played it in UA40D5000 and Series 6- 40inch (6400) and Sharp 40 inch (830M). The 40D5000 can say goodbye already after viewing the latter. |

Sharp with glass is just as reflective as low end Plasma but at a higher price. But high end Plasma which may cost as much as Sharp will be far less reflective than either one of them (though there are still some). This price war is getting interesting.
40' is getting very cheap. I strongly recommend biggest screen possible as 40' price drop also means 46' price reduction too. |

You have to also look at how huge your living room is and how you gonna position your television and seating. |

Samsung's LED tv plays the most video format compared to other brands (mkv, rmvb, avi etc) and also if you have the subtitle file (srt) included in the pendrive, it will automatically sync together to play. |

Just bought the Sony 46" EX520 for RM3,950 with wifi dongle, after comparing with Samsung 5 series and Sharp 820.. for me Sony stands out in term of more natural color and least reflectiveness from the surface.

Its good value for $$$ and agree with the non reflective screen. The only weakness of the EX520 is the 60Hz refresh rate, where newer gen LED/LCD Tv's will do 100-400Hz which results in more fluid picture. This post has been edited by GeekinE90: Oct 4 2011, 03:18 PM |

But overall im really satisfied with it. It is also a good brand with a good service. I can't afford a Sony tv so i bought a Sony bluray player instead. So i got the best of both brands. Hehe. How is the Philips 42 inch Smart LED TV: PFL7406? It has Pixel Precise HD, 400Hz Perfect Motion Rate, response time 2ms but only 500,000:1 contrast ratio? Hows the viewing experience for such low contrast? Legends SS2 is quoting me RM 2950 for this.
http://www.philips.com.my/c/televisions/70...=specifications Is there any better TV then this with similar pricing? |

Sifus,
What is the difference in Samsung TV UA 40D5000PR and UA 40D5500RR ? What does 5000 and 5500, PR and RR stand for?. I heard from SA, LCD will soon be phased out? LED and Plasma TV will stay. Is this true? |

QUOTE(milo-o @ Sep 29 2010, 02:48 PM) Bought Samsung 46" LED 6200 last month at RM6050 (model 6200 only sold by SenQ), superb quality, with MKV playback (direct play downloaded movies). I'm a pro-Samsung Look at Samsung series 9 LED and u will know why Samsung's technology has always been ahead of others. Just my personal 2 cents. actually what i've been told is, any distributor can sell any models, they r not at display doesnt mean they cant sell it, their shop is small & they cant display a lot,the boss at small electrical shop told me that, i can go to those SenQ, Harvey Norman or Best Denki for their wide range of display, get the model #, call him, he gives his best price, then i compare with those "air-con shop" (quoted his words lol), then i decide. |

Reflection can be seen in a dark scene especially if you have white wall and lamp behind you. Both plasma and LEd have this reflection issue..honestly LED is slightly better (less reflection). For PQ, I can't compare much because lots off shops only concentrating to put LED TV for display.

Probably to clear stock of such plasmas? |

QUOTE(enriquelee @ Feb 8 2012, 09:05 AM) Frankly, all types of Flat Screen TVs hv their own weaknesses... My advice to anyone in the market for one is simply this : 1. Fix yr budget limit. 2. List best models w/in price range. 3. Select features yu need 2hv in yr set. 4. Narrow down selections to possibly 2 or 3 models. 5. Go2 shop which has all those models. 6. Request for side by side display @default settings & same program/video 2b played. 7. Make yr decision based on wat yr eyes & ears tell yu... Then juz enjoy yr choice! Nvr look back...ever!!! |

Go to Harvey Norman or Best Denki, the sales persons there will typically oblige requests for side-by-side comparisons especially during off-peak times

hi all,
currently i'm looking for LED TV 55" or above. Would like to know the best price offer in Klang Valley + which one is better (in your view) for below model: - Philips 55PFL6606 (i got offer as RM5300 from SS2 shop) - LG 55LV3730 (senq now doing promotion as RM4999 which is member price) - Samsung 55D6400 (i got offer as RM7500) - Samsung 55D7000 (SS2 shop told me almost RM10k) - Sharp 60LE630 (i got offer as RM5700 from SS2 shop) my budget max is RM6500..... seems like Samsung is out of my range...... Do any bro / sis knows where can I get cheaper price (especially for Samsung one) in any klang valley....?? Also, heard that Samsung will launch new series (E instead now is D) soon..... anyone have any idea when is it? Would the current model price be dropped dramastically after the new series launch?? Hey guys, any opinion or experience on LG's LED panel? I'm currently looking at this model, LG 37LE4500. It's sold here in the UK for 330 pounds now, very tempting. Here's the link http://www.lg.com/uk/tv-audio-video/televi...tv-37LE4500.jsp. Thanks in advance for any reply

QUOTE(blaz3 @ Apr 22 2012, 08:16 AM) Legend SS2? Well, i think the thread speaks for itself. Anybody can claim alot of things on the forum behind a nickname but when challenged to provide proof, that person conveniently disappears. Ive bought about RM30K worth of electrical goods from Legends since 2009 and have found their service to be good and their price unbeatable. And i know of many forummers who have bought from the same shop and obtained the same good service and pricing. Actual experience counts for much more than words spread from 1 mouth to another.http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1054914/all |

I laugh at my fellow friend who jump into wagon to grab te so call promo price at SenQ. Again I luv o say it, this chain outlet is freaking expensive dude...unless perhaps u would go for installment payment plan. |

Now considering from quality,Sharp has a better reputation. Both hardware and software are wholly independent production. It is the world's top TV brands. Then is Samsung, and its function is almost the same with Sharp. But its appearance is a little better and the price is a little expensive.

Guys,
I just get Philips 42pfl3507 for RM1580. Add RM220 for another 3 years warranty. Total 5 years. RM1800 total. Initially I am ald decided to take LG 42". But, that guy in Legend SS2 told me to choose Philips 42pfl3507 instead of LG. I am going too fast and ald made the payment. Just want to know if I am going to wrong direction ??? Should I trust his words ?? He looks very convinced that Philips are much reliable and good compared to LG. Is Legend SS2 staff trust-able ?? Remark: My budget only < RM2k. |

Sunday, I bought similar philips 42" model 42PFL3507S/98 on at Onking Taipan. Cash & carry RM1400 without extended warranty; meaning RM180 cheaper.
I'm happy with it. |

Anyone looking for a 47" 3D LED TV, try out the Panasonic TH-L47ET5K
It is an Full HD LED TV, with Passive 3D This means, the 3D glasses needs no power, less motion sickness issue and much much lighter. Also additional glass is very cost effective (RM 59 for 2 pairs) View angle is excellent!! |

Bro, i bought my 55la7400 abt a month ago. No hesitation on my side as my previous tv was also lg lcd and it works well after 5 yrs. PQ is good, even though some opted to calibrate it. For me, i just use the settings that the tv has. For a price of below of rm5k, its totally worth it for me

QUOTE(Revamperz @ Sep 29 2010, 01:19 PM) well not everyone buying LED backlight just for the interface XD n it not suck, it just not as nice as Samsung Sadly, i one one the 32pfl5606 owner but the TV spoilt de..anyhoo , i am a proud owner of 32PFL5605S/98 n dare i say it, best 32" LED outhere but dont take me word for it compare playback on it with other, make sure to ask the saleman to ON its superb HD natural motion +100hz available at 40" too , gonna snatch this at 1st but not suitable for me room damn. philips TV so worst. and even their service center also.. i did send my Philips LED TV 32PFL56068/98 to service center on last month 15 August 2014. After waiting reply for 1 month, i refuse to wait longer and direct walk in to service center to check my repair status 18 Sep 2014. But i been informed that technician haven't finish checking and he couldn't let me know the repair fee. By chasing this case, i only received call by service center after 3 hours and told me that the repair fee is RM 300 for my LED tv year 2011. How come the power supply easily broken compare with others brand 40inch TV that i having and still using now. So that i started to research online all the philips complain.. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/home_electronics/philips.html and i found out that this is philips major quality issue. http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php... http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php... http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php... http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php... http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php... http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1257756 http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1591866 After that, i go through all the solution. It show that, the components that Philips using isn't a durable one. The whole world end user is looking for solution and keep complaint it. and i source out.. repairing a capacitors is about usd20 http://www.amazon.com/Repair-Phillips.../dp/B00AA55LRC... And today 9 Oct 2014, service center called me just now and ask me to bring back my TV and send to outside technician center repair. if i not take back, they wanna dispose it. how bad is philips serve their customer by forcing. Is it Philips service center not professional? or Philips no helping end user? Selling products with weak component and bad service? DONT BUY PHILIPS, U WILL REGRET !!!! WORST WORST WORST btw... dont expect they will bother u, they only will football game passing the ball, find who, find them, can not, not their concern, no solution. NOW I KNOW WHY PHILIPS PRODUCTS ALWAYS THROW PRICE, AND NO DEMAND AND NOT RECOMMENDED. DONT BUY PHILIPS, IT COME WITH BAD QUALITY. BAD EXPERIENCE EVER. |

Additional info for this thread - bought a 40 Philips LED (40PFA4150S/98) on August 13th.
Picture quality is good for the price (RM 1199) Audio is ok ok Interface like it's from 2005 1 HDMI 1 USB (ext. hard disk supported) But yesterday, out of nowhere, a red line started to appear right in the middle of the screen. So quality wise I'm not too sure whether is it just my luck that I got a shit unit or the 4000 series really suck. Time to wait for the techs to come. |
