This is what happens.I went to legend ss2 last week to ask for panasonic plasma x10 and s10 price. a salesperson called lian quoted me rm3200 for x10 without freebies and rm3500 for s10 without the bdplayer. i say i want the s10,paid them a deposit of rm200 and they say they will send me the stock within 2 working days.

After 2 days still nobody calls me to arrange a delivery, so I called them, they say they forgot about my order, so fine, i say nevermind i wait another 2 more days....

After 2 days they called me and say there are good shortage for S10, ask me to take x10 instead which they have stock in hand. i insist I wanted the S10, so fine they say they will order but it will take time.

One day later, someone from legend (a woman) called my mobile and say they will deliver the goods to me tomorrow at 2pm. i say i am at work not available at home to sign and collect, only my maid is there. I ask to reschedule but the woman raised her voice says there aren't any other time! They are fully packed for the month!! Either 2pm or wait till next month! I have no choice but to ask my maid to accept delivery and pay them a cheque of the remaining amount. Is this how they treat their customer who paid deposit already?

When I reach home from work on friday, I was shocked to find that they shipped me a x10 instead of s10. The box was resealed and in bad condition. i learn from this forum to check the display time, it was used for 88 hours and turn on and off for 56 time.It was over 10pm that day so I didn't managed to call them that same nite. I call lian next day at 10am to complain about it, he told me in an annoying tone that x10 and s10 is the same la, he say i'm lucky that he charge me 3.5k for x10 with free digicam because the normal price is rm4k++!!!! I told him BS i saw the advertisement and it was only 3.6k he insist that was the old price.... lian say that he is bz serving other customer that he will have to call me back. he never did, i went to his shop because i was pissed and complained at them, but few staff which looks like gangster surrounded me and starring at me asking what is the problem here??? i was scared but told them i wanted to see lian and told them the story! lian came down after 30 minutes from upstair, i say i want a refund, he said he will only take the unit back now for 2k because it is considered 2nd hand. i was forced to keep my plasma in the end.

guys, stay away from LEGEND ss2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So many rants nowadays. Sigh. Need to be extra careful. I also had the same experience but not from Legend.

i live at SS2, but never buy anything from legend....heard too many bad news from they.....all my AV equipment by from HN, a bit expensive...but they serve me well.....garautee no open box....so ar i have no bad experience with HN.

They also tried to do the bait and switch with me last year. Wanted 42LG53FR (FullHD). Said RM3300 for it. When I wanted to pay for deposit I confirm again is it 53FR, they said yes. Then after I have given the money, he wrote on the receipt 42LG30 (HD Ready). Luckily I checked before leaving the shop.

Sales guy said, at RM3300 where can get 42incher FullHD. I told them gimme back the RM200 deposit. Took the money, went to ESH instead.

Legend is known already for their bad sales tactics, especially throwing prices at ridiculously cheap, then when you go there, they will tell you they have no stock.

My experience was when I called them to check the availability of some appliances, they confirm say have. So I drove from Shah Alam to PJ, by the time I reach there, only they bother to actually check, and told me no stock. Only display unit available.

A few of my friends also had horrible experiences with them.. don't bother buying with them.. walk a few doors next door and deal with Megatronik instead..


Added on June 7, 2009, 11:17 amAnother shop to avoid is Benova.. they will try to slice your throat if they can..

Legend used to be a small shop along Old Klang Road , opposite the wet market ...

almost all of our electrical appliances were bought there ... am not sure bout the service in SS2 but yesterday i went to the one along Old Klang Road as they shifted farther up ... service was good , price wise cheapest among all ...

if by credit card i think should be doable as well but you'll need to lodge a tribunal complaint before hand.

Hey TS, just block the cheque. Really pissed off to hear this kind of case. Just curious, do you think able to talk to reporter provided you got all the evidence and post in newspaper? Serve them well!

There's a chinese saying 'mou leong kan seong', which describes this kind of shop well. I'll definitely boycott this shop, and tell my friends not to go there.

didnt know legend ss2 is so fahking pariah.....how about old klang road or sri petaling? ive always bought av from sri petaling.....so far i think the ppl there r ok.......aiyoyo,later im going there to check out s10 n x10 la.....suddenly got bad impression......i dun know who is the boss,the one i always deal with in sri petaling ...his eyes always half close....n got misai....40++is he the boss?

Sorry to hear such problem TS but it is good that you have pointed out such Devil shop to assist potential future buyers (like me). Hope that every1 can start boycotting this shop.

Moreover, could any1 teach me how to check on the display time?? Or could any1 provide the link??

In fact, I almost wanted to place an order for my Pana airconds, and 42S10k. Honestly, their price is very attractive. One thing I don't like about them is their sales tactic. most of their workers advised me not to purchased anything from the shop next to them (can't remember the shop name).

The way how they said is "the shop next to us is a con-shop, they sell stuff in very cheap price, but whenever u wanna pick up the stuff after u've paid the $$$, they will say no stock, and will ask u to get a replacement instead".

After all, it seems like Legend is the main culprit then. tongue.gif

I bought several things from legend, sri petaling. Everything went smoothly , installation is good.

Ask for Mr Lim, the salesperson, he's quite honest and knowledgeable.

Avoid Senq etc, the salesperson, drivers etc are very 'ulu'.

???? normally legend qoute price is cash and carry.....but if someone bought a 50inch TV,how to "carry" himself?? unless u got foldable car seats or van or MPV......yes...mr. lim sri petaling is ok......any others shop like legend,that have competitive price?

bought a sony 40" and bring it back home in my proton savvy.. fit just nicely.. but immediately lock all door.. afraid it will push open byitself laugh.gif

In regards to the above matter, I am a representative from legend ss2. We from Legend ss2 has been open for over 20 years, and we are confident and have a certain name of our own. after thoroughly going through our system, we manage to check that only 2 of the s10 model has been sold by our company as of 10 jun 2009, as this is a new model. It is also a company policy for us to deliver our goods to customer directly.By saying this, we only deliver goods to the customer him/herself, this is for safety purposes. furthermore, delivering goods to a maid is impossible. We are also afraid if anything goes missing while we are over, we would get the blame for it.

Once an order is done, our logistic departement will automatically arrange for a delivery, and our logistic department doesn't have a women employee, as mention by the above post. and as for a worker name lian, the only person that comes close to this name is an employee by the name of liang, is this him? Even if this is him, as according to our records, liang did not sold any s10 models until 10 jun 2009.

as according to the post above, payment was made via cheque. if the goods was delivered in a bad condition/different modal, stopping the cheque would be the obvious thing to do. if all this is true, why not stop the cheque? If an order was made, there would deffinately be an invoice from us. with prove of this invoice, my manager has agreed to compensate RM5000. Please bring this invoice to our shop, and if all this is false, please delete this tread so that the name of our company wont be affected.

We are confident that all this is UNTRUE, and please do not make false accusation on our company. If u really do have the invoice, please come forward with it and prove yourself. Don't give our company a bad name by making false treads here.

Please call our company at 012-3893063, if u really do have the invoice, we will make the conpensation.

it's good that legend ss2 representative comes here to clarify this

i dont really care what your company did last time. As long as they improve their customer service and be honest, things will improve and settle up.

daren123,as for your info, either ur company has a bad name and reputation last time as your competitor shop has police report against you and the same police report your company has against the shop beside you. But this is not important, as you know internet nowadays play important role to your company sales and reputation.

Up thru this years, your legend company has being expanding rapidly, can tell from your boss driving mercedes S class and wearing rolex watch and the whole row of legend shop in ss2. So the history of your company whether bad or good is not important anymore.

What's is important is NOW. How you guys make business. By assuming from your reply, I guess legend did improve. Your company has expand and no point risking anything in the future to jeorpadize the business as one crook salesman and mistake will lead the business down as you know the power of INTERNET.

The lady has spoken rclxms.gif .....but 2 bad experiences is enuf for me not to go back to Legend.

They say 1st mistake is because u r just human. 2nd mistake could happen when u try to give 1st mistake a second chance but if u let same mistakes happen to u thrice...u r just simply stupid rolleyes.gif

Replying to this thread doesn't mean Legend is improving. I RECENTLY have a few bad experiences at Legend myself, with George and Liang. I called and ask for electrical appliances like iron and rice cooker, they say have stock. I travel all the way to SS2, imagine the toll and petrol, when I reach there they pretend to be searching up and down and tell me NO STOCK, left display unit, and ask me to take the display unit at the same price - not even cheaper! The price they offer me when i was there was also higher than the price they quote me over the phone. Something like luring me over there.... This happens for a few times and I stop buying from Legend SS2 from that day onwards.

With all the live experience sharing from the forumers here, I would never step in Legend again.... Truth is so many electronic shops out there, why should we need to visit once that known to have bad reputation?

From my experience the bad apples are only from the SS2 branch. Their Sri Petaling branch is totally the opposite, particularly Mr.Lim. Friendly and helpful. So, just go SS2 Murni for food, never ever step into Legend.

why not get from big reputable shops like senq or harvey norman? so far no problem on all my electrical stuffs i got it from them. may be a lil bit expensive, but peace in mind...

i had a bad experience with this shop too. almost same as TS, but my problem is about buying a fridge, delivered a older model to me, which is bout RM50 cheaper than the one i ordered. went there and complaint, but the stuffs there keep telling me is the same thing inside, just the model number is different only( those brainless sales rep. never use their brain to think, if it is the same thing, why there are 2 different model?). however i din further argue with them as i need the fridge urgently for my house warming party.

but so sure, i will never buy things from this shop anymore, even if i saw and hear anyone discussing bout this shop, i will tell this story to them, let them judge themselves see if this shop can be trusted or not, is it safe to buy electronics from this shop or not.

Boycott them.. there are many other shops selling electrical goods ..let teach them a lesson that customers always right. I was in the UK and over there you can return electrical appliances within 1 - 2 weeks for exchange or money back if you're not satisfied with the quality..

Never buy TV from this shop... they give display unit to customer!! last time my dad wan order pioneer kuro from them then i saw two ppl taking out a LG display unit and put inside the original box and seal it up.

Oh ya, i recommend desa HT and ESH

I bought my Toshiba Regza from Desa Home LYP. I suspected they gave me a display set. Judging from the light scratches and the plastic cover looked like it was open. And at the top of my LCD screen the backlight is uneven. Really regret buying from Desa HT.

Just to note, we have waited the whole day today for him to show up or at least a call to clarify this with us, but as expected there is none. we will continue to wait to see the result. If wat user BANLEGENDSS2 said is true, all he have to do know is just show the invoice or official receipt in this tread, and we will transfer RM5,000 directly into his account. In our opinion it is pretty simple to post it here if its true. We will continue to wait for another 2 days. We suspect that this could be done by our competitors to give our company a bad name. Recently our sales for LCD and Plasma is high and because of this, we suspect that this could be the reason why we are being sabotage via this forum. We are not trying to be cocky, all we are trying to do is to clarify this so that our company's name is not affected in any way whatsoever. We urge user BANLEGENDSS2 to head down to consumer rights department to complain this if it is really true. PLEASE DO, and not just give us a bad name through this forum.

After all is said and done, we are planing to take legal action against BANLEGENDSS2 for what he is trying to do to our name. Anyway to check the service menu about how many hours it's been used? I think many forummers use that method now to check if TV is really new or not.

even though TS might be a faker like he said, but how about all other complain cases? there are so so so many complains against legend ss2. LEGEND SS2 is already known as a dirty tactics shop, even my grandma knows it. ptui. somemore threaten with legal actions, you're lucky those conned consumer didn't take legal actions towards you.

So i called them. I was informed that the delivery man was on the way. I was satisfied so i spoke to the supervisor, Mr Wong. Mr Wong said the delivery man was on his way back to SS2 to collect the goods and will be there after 5. At this point, i informed Mr Wong that my area does not allow delivery man after 5pm. Mr Wong persistently argued that the guards will let them in. I find this absolutely absurd and ridiculous. If a residence who is saying that is saying such conduct is not allowed, who is he, an outsider to determine that it can be done? I find this not only preposterous but also terribly stupid.

I told them i wanted a refund. And end of story. I related this to my cousin who then told me that he has the same experience. He went to Legend to get air conditions for his condo and he needed them urgently cause his tenant was going to move in the next day. And Legend promised that they will deliver before 5pm cause his condo also does not allow delivery after 5pm. Legend did not turn up. Neither did they call. As a results, my cousin lost his tenant.

After my episode with Legend, i called HSL to find out the prices of the items i bought. Since its highly recommended by Legend as they are energy saving and what's not, i have decided to buy the same items from somewhere else. To my horror, i was informed by HSL that those items are old stock and the respective company no longer produce them. I thought its only a marketing gimmick maybe HSL does not have in stock. So i called a few more outlets and they all confirmed the same thing. Even other electrical shops confirmed it.

If i were you, i would avoid Legend at all costs.
