5 minute is not a good result...........try few more time let it cache the satellite location so in future will be faster

I would like to ask, is it possible to use conventional keypad when typing sms or only qwerty keypad available. I prefer conventional touch keypad same as my samsung beat. I really want this Galaxy 5.

Whats the meaning of conventional keypad?

The phone come with on screen qwerty, swype, chinese pinyin, 9 button number, 9 button alphabet (like the phone that use physical keypad, button "1" is abc, button "2" is def)

sorry for bad question..yes i would like to know whether it is possible to use 2(abc) 3(def) 4(ghi)..if the answer is yes i will get it as soon as i get my salary...TQVM

No need worry about the keypad, there are many others I dint list above like handwirting of numberic and alphabet...........many keypad apps can be install

How to type chinese pinyin? I can't find it in the writing language.

wow.. getting used to my 1st smartphone samsung g5.
reali a great great gadget.

1st time using gps today, jz for testing, amazingly working great!
took me about 3 minutes to lock the satelite.
also experienced hsdpa download speed in a phone today, the feeling is just great!

when search thru internet, i found there are so so many useful apps.
reali makes life easier and better.

the worst part of it is, froyo, when r u coming?
i m sure the apps2sd app can cause the value of g5 increase a huge.
pray hard, froyo must come to g5.

Added on November 1, 2010, 5:48 pmyou have to change the input method to diochinese, then go to keyboard setting set to pinyin then u can type chinese.
or u can also install chinese input app, with more enhance features if compare to built-in chinese input.

ok i get it already, have to change the phone language to chinese then only able to type pinyin. Thx. Btw it is undoubtly the best economical android phone in the market right now. This is my first android phone as well haha.

Hmm...Not all apps can go onto SD Card even with 2.2. Lets hope after 2.2 update, G5 will still perform at its best.

Swype is something new...........nice to try, the fastest phone's input method
unfortunately i cant master it, not using currently

owh my.. I really felt in love with this phone. gonna ditch my bb curve to buy this phone. pair with digi smartphone postpaid would be nice.
