Also to share with all of you, Samsung Malaysia could not confirm whether it can be updated with 2.2 (this is by e-mail) and I have called them where one of the customer service officers said it can be updated to 2.2 so I am not sure who is giving the right answer but lets hope it can be update.

Any of you afraid that after 2.2 update, the phone will start having problems?

Yes, for this price even without 2.2 this Android is the best value for your money. Recommended for those who want to test out the Android without burning a hole in your pocket.

Did exactly wat u said, but cant trace my currently location and still stuck at bistro de paris KL. Erm, im wondering is it becoz of the 3g function has not set up on this phone. I tried to get the phone setting from maxis for this phone, but could'nt find the exact phone model one's.

Most probably the gps problem still be there after 2.2 upgrade...............let us see the user feedback for 2.2 Galaxy S later, whole Samsung's phone facing the same GPS problem which is difficult locking satellite

me too.. no problem locking gps signal. even in a moving car

oic, need to do it a few times. Ok i'll keep trying. 3G/mobile internet has nothing to do with gps?

Btw have anyone tried to download the internet phone setting for this model. I dial *100# and select phone setting for samsung, but couldnt find the setting for this model.

Yup, i saw the APN page. When i go to Access point names, its empty.

Yes, everything is done. Papago X5 is working haha. 3G also working, guess what i need to do now is to search for apps.

jz bought g5 tis evening.
1st time using android phone, but it is nice.

currently still exploring many of its function and also wan to import all contacts from previous phone.

slowly if i encounter any prob, for sure here is a better place to find answer.

Installed papago x5 but dont know how to use it.

It keeps appearing in Kuala Lumpur (jln P ramlee area) but my place is in klang. The satelite dish at the top right keeps blinking. May I have any guidance here?

Refer to page 26 post 508. Might need a few tries to lock to the sat.

It is known problem for difficult first time satellite lock. Just got mine locked with lot of patience. Users here will guide you as they have guided me:

1: Enable wireless and GPS locking in setting.
2. Download GPS booster lite from market.
3. Open PPGx5 and leave in open space for sometime. (I leave mine on balcony for 10 mins)

Finally, it is working but the UI is not pleasant at all compare to GarminXT. Maps rendering and voice navigation also inferior to Garmin. Maybe should try Garmin-Asus android phone.

using handcent sms now, but when receive sms, the original sms app still showing the small icon on status bar. any idea how to stop it?

besides, i set default sms to be opened by handcent sms, any method to reset this?
