JT around 150,000 per week i think..140,000 for Rooney is a good deal compared to his current MU's wages..90,000.City will offer more...If he want he must accept that Chelsea no longer spend silly money...
*
then if he wants money, he can go city ... yaya paid is 220k ... so he can ask 230k ...

Blues captain Terry paid tribute to the support of the travelling fans in Moscow. The England defender hopes another victory over the Russians at Stamford Bridge next month would enable Ancelotti to give some of his players a welcome breather.

"The support we get up and down the country is brilliant and it is especially so when you come to places like Russia. It is tiring enough for us players, but when the fans have to get up and go in to do a nine-to-five job it is great and we want to show our support to them as they do to us,'' Terry said.

Is this why he took off his jersey and bare topless in the cold conditions of Moscow that night?

aww rooney staying with man u.. a bit dissapointed because there is a possibility we can get a quality player such as him with CUT OFF price. nvm, life goes on. its not like we don't have any other choice. just that the opportunity come so sudden hehe

for this weekend game, really hope for zhirkov to start the match. let malouda on the bench, so that he can sort himself and find his scoring boots again

YAY. BOSINGWA START.
QUOTE
Jose Boswinga will start his first game for a year when Chelsea take on Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow (Saturday).
The right-back has been selected by Carlo Ancelotti following a substitute appearance at Aston Villa last week.
Didier Drogba is welcomed back after illness but the game comes too early for Brazilian pair Alex and Ramires who will return to training next week.
Ancelotti hopes to have Frank Lampard back in full training by the end of next week.

Welcome back Drogs and Bosingwa! YAY.seriously, i can't wait for them. How will be our right side attack?
Alex, Lampard, get well soon!

this is awesome, BOS are going to start bro! hence, we don't need a winger. Carlo can try his favourite diamond, i guess.

Bos - Iva - Terry - Ash

---------Mikel----------

- Ess---Ramires--Yuri-

----Anelka--- DD ------

Bos and Ash bombarding up and down. FFFFUUU my favourite formation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

shoot, Ramires is doubtful. Lampard is out. haiihhh back to 4-3-3 then.

think with Ramires and Lampard out, we will see Malouda and Yuri start... I wish let the youngster start and have the senior have some rest... As mention before, i would like Malouda and Anelka rest for the coming game...

He is now the highest-paid player at Manchester United, overtaking defender Rio Ferdinand. The striker, who was previously on £90,000 per week, is now understood to be earning a basic salary in excess of £150,000 per week.

Rooney has become the best-paid player in the history of the club by agreeing a deal thought to be worth as much as £180,000 a week in a move that will inevitably invite allegations that he and his agent, Paul Stretford, have been guilty of cynical greed to get the best deal possible.

from my point of view,
Rooney ego is BIGGER than SAF..
also, this is SAF's tactic to sold Rooney at the end of season with biggest profit..coz man u in a huge debt right now and i don't think man u can afford £150,000/week or £180,000/week for 5 years..

There has been conspiracy theories going on in the Man Utd thread suggesting that the only reason Rooney is "staying" is because Man Utd wants to reap the maximum amount of profit out of his transfer. The theory suggest he will still be offload in the next transfer window but with a new contract, he will have a bigger price tag. You guys could still get him as a quality player but just not with the CUT OFF price.

But its logical and a perfect plan. He is going anyway in jan , but now with a contract extension, his price will not be cut price.
This is all just fantasy tho. Like u said its baseless. And i do hope he stays , well at least in england. Hate to lose a talented footballer like him to other leagues.
And chelsea need quality players, be it as opponents.
