I just want to comment on the performance of Ramires. This is because I put a lot of faith in him. His price tag is 18mil. IMO:
1>2m was justified through his sense of positioning. This one has improved by a lot! As a midfielder, it is your job to provide option for your team mate to make passes and Ramires did this brilliantly. 2>2m was justified in what I would say as 'industrious' box-to-box run. When he go forwad, he did help a lot with the attacking department. When he track back for defensive duties, he do it superbly. Although he did conceded several corners, it is better than the opposition can have a try on goal 3>4m was justified through his vision in making a pass. Lets not forget how many times he make a brilliant through pass last night. Anelka, Ashley Cole, and even Malouda have all benefited from his brilliant passing 4>2m was justified by his counter-attack abilities. Although he was offside, did you see how he make the run? Such speed is what even Lampard is lacking. 5>2m was justified by his 'bad-boy' decision. As a box-to-box player, you need to have this ability. The ability to make a foul when necessary and when to hack down a player, especially without conceding a foul. Yes, I admit this is not a gentlemen style of play but look how Nigel de Jong, Flamini, Gattuso and even Fletcher play. Make the opponent scare by your presence. As for me, 12m of his price tag has been justified. This is the first time I am very impressed with him. I put 6m more if he can maintain this form and improve his muscle. Yep, he is too thin ^^ |

I think the problem within England squad is the chemistry of the selected players. You must admit there is certain player that is doing averagely for their club or sometime worse but when they put on the national jersey, they become so good. Some name that I recall are Podolski and Higuain. Compare how they both play for their respective club as how they play with the national team and you will get what I mean.
Since everyone is blaming Terry, is there anyone can replace him? If I am the coach, I will not chose Ferdinand. Not because he is man utd player, but he did'nt play for very long time. Yup, he is good but when you have been sidelined for months, your skill become rusty. Furthermore, selecting Fedinand ahead of other CBs who have been playing week in week out for their respective club is not fair. Next is about Lampard-Gerard partnership. I agree both of them cannot play together. Tactical wise, both of the player's area of coverage is too wide and it overlaps with each other. Means that sometimes both of them are defending and sometimes both are attacking. This will cause a conflict of interest in the team. Who should I pass to, who is the playmaker, who going to cover the back four etc.. Having both of them is good. But playing those two TOGETHER is not good. Both got their own magic. Let say put Gerard ahead of Lampard. If he fails to deliver, sub him out for Lampard. Added on October 11, 2010, 8:36 amaww bad news for us. terry suffered from back injury. hope it is not serious problem. i wonder why he kept playing for england although england fans doesn't appreciate him that much. stop playing for england and let them use their 'awesome' ferdinand-the-captain together with other partnership. maybe after that england can even win inter-galactic football tournament. QUOTE(choy89 @ Oct 12 2010, 01:06 AM) see my signature found this in our rival's thread. woow the world will be a very peace place if everybody realize the money WE spend on OUR player is OUR MONEY. Not theirs. Even when we buy the 30m Shevchenko, we didn't rob a bank to funds it. afterward, came the quality issue. nobody is perfect. SAF, benitez and even wenger got their fair share of bad signings.i find it funny when other thread talking about our player which cost our money not theirs, i thought everyone in the world knew that SAF is kind of crazy guy who like to buy any unfamous player and try to turn them into a star? for the god sake, its our money not theirs ..definetly Manchester UNITED 7M not theirs. SAF know how to use the money wisely unlike...... btw, haters will always be haters. |

not sure whether he will be a good addition to us or not. when he come here next season, he already 29. and i think for a player of his caliber, the price tag surely around 20-30m.. and considering his current form and injury proneness, i dont think it will be a good buy.

wow phillip lahm.. last time during world cup 2006, he was at left back. quite surprised to see him play at right back during the recent world cup. for me, i really hope the deal can go through. maybe a player exchange can offset the amount we need to pay for him. ashley cole is already 30 so having lahm as a utility player is great. i'm sure he can still play the left back position.

playing playstation football (although kinda unreal) surely better than letting the opponent come back into the game. kill the game early on, kill the determination of the opponent..
hopefully our team do well. and for kakuta, good luck bro! this is your chance. play it to your heart content! |

lokei, i dont think that as an attempt for trolling hehe
btw, the rooney rumors is getting serious. IMO, i would welcome him with open arms if the price is right.. we all know what he is capable of. although not in the mould of drogba, we can still consider him as powerful striker |

wow i'm quite shock to see man utd fans reaction towards rooney. and they said that too a striker who is only 25 years old.. strikers do have some barren run but when hit top gear back, he will become indispensable. during scolari reign, our own drogba also like this but the effect is not serious since anelka is banging all the goals. but look how drogba become when he is back to his former self haha
i dont think we need to spend that much on him. if we want him, n he want to join us, he can just buy the remaining of his contract at 5m price and then he can join us. on wage, i do agree we cannot offer him more that 130k per week wage.. that is just ridiculous |

aww rooney staying with man u.. a bit dissapointed because there is a possibility we can get a quality player such as him with CUT OFF price. nvm, life goes on. its not like we don't have any other choice. just that the opportunity come so sudden hehe
for this weekend game, really hope for zhirkov to start the match. let malouda on the bench, so that he can sort himself and find his scoring boots again |

won but to be honest, the game a bit boring. anelka always hesitating to try a shot on goal. the commentator might be correct on drogba, he is a bit rusty after coming back from the virus.
special welcome for bosingwa, our 'new signing'. nearly get a goal on his 'debut' hehe we really miss the creativity from the midfield. everybody expect essien to be creative but he is burden by his defensive duties. furthermore, we look like we are playing an away game against a spirited wolves team. however, 3 point is what matters. *btw, nice tackle by josh on ebanks blake hehe |
