hey. i'm also newbie. excited to start learning guitar too. but in my mind there a few question :
1. what is the diff between classical guitar- acoustic guitar - semi
acoustic guitar - electric acoustic guitar ?

2. how is the nice way to press the string on fret board? can use nail or
change the string to nylon instead using the normal one? bcos
practicing 1-2 hour make my finger pain.

not nails, u gotta keep ur nails short. doh.gif

fret (the term used to describe "press-the-string-onto-the-fret) using ur fingertips

u gotta play more often, after a while ur fingertips will harden wink.gif

heres a brief xplanation

1. classical guitar: usually nylon strings, full body, does not use plectrum instead use 4 fingers to play only (if pro la)

2. accoustic guitar: steel strings, sound more bright, does not have a pick up unlike semi accoustic ones,

3. semi-accoustic: have pick ups attached and can plug into amp straight

electric accoustic guitar: ...... never heard of this before..

practicing without finger pain is not practicing at all. no matter what strings u use, confirm sakit punya... nylon maybe a bit more friendly but steel.. brows.gif

oohhh.. if u want to go with rocksmith, i wonder if that can play with semi accoustic.. coz all reviews ive seen, all use electric guitar.

anyway, i guess as long if theres a pick up attached, u'll be fine.

goodluck on your guitar!

Justin guitar is pretty decent, true. There's quite a bit of intermediate level stuff in there too.

End of the day though, it all still boils down to practicepracticepracitce.
