Ok this suggestion might me funny but it worked for some in maemo talk.

Try installing titans kernel.Maybe the drivers is incompatible.

Some guys did this:
1)Install titans kernel + fcamera
2)Install multiboot(without NITDroid) + OTG hostmode
3)Edit the item file for multiboot you'll have 3rd option to load the OTG kernel.

This may useless since you'll require to reboot but at least it worked for some cases.

Maybe after I test the OTG kernel I'll flash the entire OS.My kernel files are like rojak now.Been patched with so many things.Thank god the phone is still running stable.

Sometimes I forget about no extension,deb & bz2...

The reason the system files was missing because WinSCP was meant to view you maemo root files,not Android root files.You're looking at entirely wrong partition.
