For the love of god, WHY? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

NOW I really miss my dead N900... cry.gif

Hopefully the N9 has OTG enabled... hmm.gif

I expected this kind of dramatic post from you. laugh.gif

Don't know about N9 but so far for most of Nokia's Internet Tablet OTG functions were developed by Maemo's community. Not by Nokia.

hmm.gif My maemo's kernel has been patched over & over again.Don't know when I will have to reflash.Hopefully once OTG is complete titan can release new kernel.

in File Manager, with the volume label removed, it shows the true formatted capacity of the Corsair GT 16GB USB Drive.
- all contents accessible using the built in File Manager as well as FileBox
- can play most near HD quality videos smoothly from the Corsair GT 16GB & Corsair 4GB
- left it connected for 20 minutes, no issues apart from battery drain
- battery continues to discharge even after disconnecting USB Drive, be sure to reboot after testing.
*
It's a known bug.Since this version just for testing purpose seems like the coders choose to ignore this 1st.
Should be remove in next version.

internal eMMC and micro SD have noticeable difference in speed? I haven't really test in detail, but seems I didn't notice much cause sometimes I put movies in either one and output to TV.
micro SDĀ  also have various speed version, mine was class 4.
*
I'm using class 4 micro sd too.Try playing videos with high bitrate & look closely.Maybe you'll notice the slight laggyness while playing from micro sd.
I think the highest resolution video I've played with N900 are 720p videos from youtube.Initially have the audio/video synch problem & later on played just fine.
Maybe after I go back for sem break this weekend I'll throw in proper 720p/1080p Avatar movie into my N900.Lets see what's happen.

Nope. It'll will work just fine.So far I've tried Celcom 3G & Maxis 3G.Both of them works just fine without any configuration.
Just insert the sim card, turn on the phone, type the sim card security code(like normal sim card pin number) & you'll be ready to surf.

Thx will do. I have a question to ask. Will i fry my n900 by OC it to 800mhz? Safe?
*
N900's ARM Cortex A8 procesor can be clocked till 1150MHz safely. But at 1150MHz you'll feel little warm.Anything lower than 1GHz is just fine.

for GPS locktime the N900 perform superb just dont have  a proper GPS software. Currently only SYGIC but outdated map
*
It's possible to convert garmin maps but the steps are just plain painfully long.
Another method to use garmin is by using Navit. But this navigator is hell to configure & crash easily.

how is Symbian ^3 ? Still have their ancestor bad genes (That always loves to hang) ? But it has a powerful camera on it  wub.gif
*
This is my theory.
Symbian^3 is basically is a fully rewritten Symbian S60v5 but with much more complete touchscreen optimization. So it should perform much better than S60 but only the final version of N8 can prove it.
I seldom use Symbian device since I really hate the "out of memory" error. This is why I don't comment much about symbian devices.

*
Rebooting devices to use extra power. This apply to all the devices.

Yeah. What i mean is does reboot using command will help decrease the power consumption? Or its the same as normal reboot.

*sry if i may confuse you with my poor vocabulary.
*
Whether rebooting initiated by terminal command, system or app crash, the process is still similar. The device will power off, restart the hardwares & start the apps all over again.
So the power usage for reboot will still be same.

QUOTE(tabletennis @ Sep 29 2010, 01:40 AM)
from what i know,we need to sign a 2-year contract with digi, with a monthly fee of rm63(cash) or rm58(with auto billing),we pay rm2490 for iphone4 32gb or rm2090 for 16gb...you can enjoy free 200 voice call to ALL networks,200 free sms to ALL networksand 1gb internet (per month i supposed)...maybe you will feel that macis is cheaper with their rm100 ivalue 1,but after calculating, the difference is just below rm50(i calculated digi plan as 1 year to be fair) ...
you will feel that why do we need to pay 2490 for the iphone(idigi 58) when you can get it for 19xx(ivalue100) ...the trick is at the monthly fee...the monthly fee supposed to be rm88,but is reduced to 63...so do the maths
# (88-63) X 24 months =rm600# so if you take rm2490-rm1890 you will get rm600...lower monthly fee, this is the tactic digi use to attract customers...so overall,i prefer digi's idigi58 more than maxis's ivalue100@since digi's free calls, sms is to all networks but maxis to maxis only...Just my 2cents and i didnt really list out all the details
more details at digi iphone4 rate
*
This can be made into nice linear equation laugh.gif
