NITDroid files might be in SD Card but the multiboot & some patches are in rootsh.
Better for me if I just flash everything.

NITDroid still in v0.0.8.Most of the major functions except perfect phone functions are working.Still need some coding with the voice transmission on phone function.
v0.0.9 will be released soon.Expect a much polished version.

I'm currently using meego-handset-armv7l-n900-1.0.99.2.20101019.1-2-mmcblk0p.raw.bz2 build.
I'll really suggest you wait till next wednesday to install the proper v1.1.Because the devs have yet to integrate the new SGX driver.stskeeps(the MeeGo for the N900 maintainer) has confirmed that v 1.1 will be out next wednesday.

I think the major functions that's not functioning yet is the call/sms/3g call.
Call & sms function had been implemented but the voice carrier yet to be completed.It seems Nokia have weird driver problem or something.MeeGo team had this issue also.

Other than that the overall system works just fine.

If your coding skill is 1337 you can try configure Navit for Maemo.It's GPS software that can load Garmin map but it's hell to configure.Very few person managed to make it work.I managed to make it work but dumped it after 1 day.

I already managed to make it work.But it's just not practical to use.The app will crash if you open it from shortcut,so you have to open via terminal.There are plenty other problem like this with Navit.
Plus I won't share things that will brick or crash the OS.

Working for me.Try uninstall & reinstall it.
If the problem persist then try with Pidgin 1st.

Currently nobody from NITDroid team is assigned for the GPS.Might take time before someone take a look at it.As I said previously the NITDroid team currently prioritize phone functions.
