Thkx! I'm on US sbf oso. wif v5 optimizer. mine restarted a few times when its loading launcherpro. apart from that, not much of issues. anyway, any1 be kind enough to enlighten me on the themes? jus drop me a few hints, pls?

As in themes you mean those dock background and icons, widgets, etc etc?

yea all the customizations. so far my research only points to meta morph to change notification bar colour, bar icons, power control widget. but it seems like many releases outside cater for specific model, even specific rom. dats how i crash my phone yest.. sobx.

xt720 UI is it smooth or any noticeable lag?

Anyone has any idea on how to use metamorph?

Ill change my icon all thru metamorph,.very ezy..i like invisible lock pattern,.

Added on October 9, 2010, 2:16 amOn the 1st time u need go to setting n make sure unthick for warning pop up..so ur phone not so risky when apply theme..bcoz their check with current framework, if not ngam so cannot do installation. ,usually ur phone will be reboot after successful. .

i'm officially giving up on the metamorph nonsense. theres no morph specifically for our phones and the other morphs all carry risks. i brick my fone for the 2nd time in 2 days and enough is enuff man.

time to flashing....

2nd time in 2 days? lol bro.. ur definition of "enuff" is just about .0001% of mine.. Last time i bricked my phone 5 times in one day..

hehehe..thats y need to do backup 1st b4 modified anything...ill never got problem with metamorph...u should know wat theme u ngam to porte...i can giv u battery icon to test with metamorph if u want...

i backup with titanium backup.. if im not wrong, nandroid we cannot use right? how i know which theme ngam? metamorph scans and nvr say anything so i try lo. success for a few things la. desire notification bar with icons, but the time and words colours still all black.

black words, black background. driving me nuts~ argh.

i've gone thru more than 10 pages mostly are about flashing rom, is it necessary to flash it? is it going to have the froyo version soon? i heard that this phone is rather hot after using sometime, is it true? how's the phone function, is it laggy, unresponsive, hang etc?

wanted to get an android phone & this one seems attractive compare with the htc legend or desire in term of specs & price. hope someone can review more on it.

many are selling sg set (with warranty) = no warranty, i wonder how to claim the warranty if needed?

when 1st time ill swapped my i3gs with this phone, their downclock to 500mhz..in that time yes a bit laggy when using launcher..
But now ...not anymore ..this phone is awesome!!....nothing major problem with their gps,sounds.display.games n etc....the only thing this phone is bootlock ..so cannot use modified rom...but u can root n apply app2sd n jit for froyo to make it more booster... ....the latest is now my phone can do videoing in 720p 21fps without choppy anymore ...wat u need is format sd to fat32 64kb cluster..wat can i say is i lov my xt !!...

Even class 4 8gb can format with that cluster on gparted?

I am a samsung galaxy S & milestone xt720 user..
For those who for normal budget, Milestone XT720 is the best Android phone you can owned. With 8 mega pixel, HD record and also have HDMi port, its an advatages for itself. Beside that, its normal for Motorola manufacturing where they made this phone really solid design. Compare to SGS, it back cover made by plastic only. XT720 has bigger screen size, sensitive touch screen and sharp. In this case, would say SGS a little good coz it come with amoled screen.

For new user of smart phone, with XT720, I don't think you'll feel laggy with it own downclock processor 512mhz. Even though it also suitable to overclock to 1Ghz wihtout any problem. Like we know, SGS come with 1Ghz processor, yes its fast enough and no need to overclock anymore, but sometimes it will turn laggy also.

Proudly to said that Motorola developer kinda active where it produce many update for this XT720 model. Mean, you guys can easily update to EURO version, Italy version and others in order to upgrade it system. Compare to samsung, kinda hard to find it upgrade beside get it from unofficial developer.

For gamers, for sure SGS a little good for them coz it come with bigger screen. But XT720 also got it own advantage where you guys can play game via TV by using HDMI cable. With some trick, it will able you to do so. I've try it myself.. and its really cool!

Conclusion: Milestone XT720 is a good Android phone for those who not looking for high budget to buy SGS or other expensive android phone. You don't need big amount of internal SD like SGS have (2gb), coz you can always use APP2SD to make it able to save your installation inside your external memory card.

dun need to use gparted to format the fat32 partition. The format in windows will do. Just rem to change the cluster size.
