Well maybe using app u can tap the screen to turn off, what if u need to turn on again?  I presume u need the power button ? hmm.gif

Press on the home button will wake the device up, which is more convenient than pressing on the tiny power button.

I think pressing the tiny power button will reduce stress from home button. biggrin.gif

honestly, 8gb is too little. 32gb would be a smarter choice.

Hello guys, I have an old iPod touch 1G 8GB from quite a while back... anyway, it's been giving me problems, so I just wanted some opinions.

My iPod won't connect to my laptop. I have 3 at home and it doesn't work with either one. And the only way I can charge it is through a wall charger, which sometimes doesn't manage to charge it too.

What do you think has happened to my iPod? Would appreciate you guys' input, thanks!

Guys, I have been downloading some video podcasts straightly from the iPod Touch. When I plug it into the PC, iTunes started to move the file into the PC even I didn't select it to sync. I have no choice to make it to sync the podcasts so that those files remained inside the iPod Touch. I want to podcasts only remain inside the iPod Touch. What's the solution?

by saying connected you mean your ipod has been assigned an ip address rite? sometimes because of the wireless signal not strong enough, you may not be able to get an internet connection. it's the same concept like other wireless device.
