Guys,

I bought an Ipod Touch from Apple Store as a birthday present for my wife last December (very recent). Lately, the camera has stopped reponding. It simply hung and the shutter window (the animation) did not opened. It remain closed.

My wife was a bit reluctant to claim for warranty as the ipod has engraving at the back, which I made for her for free at Apple Store.

Any suggestion?

I doubt they will replace the device,it is most probably a software problem rather than hardware.Why not try restoring the phone or maybe even upgrade the firmware to a newer one.It might solve the problem.Getting it done shouldn't be problem as there is alot of websites guiding ipod/iphone users.

try using os 4.2.1 and see if the problem still persist

can i ask, if my ipod is engraved and i send it for service if something is wrong with the ipod, will my ipod be accepted for service? if not, what should i do?

Dear sifus, i m now trying out a 3rd gen ipod touch and i m wondering what is the expected battery life when playing games. I have been playing Dead Space on it on headphones for 1 hour and the battery has dropped from 100% to 70%. is this normal? The unit was purchased in May last year.

Anyone can confirm that the battery is as it should be?

is the wireless connection on? If yes, that is the cause. But usually when you play games, your battery will drop faster

wifi not on, to be exact, the battery dropped to 74% after 1 hour of really intense gaming (dead space.. fantastic)

So this is normal? then i dont need to worry about the battery..

1 hour? mine will drop to at least 50% nothing to worry, it's a normal process

i'm sure it will drop faster depending on which game you're playing. especially, those very good high def like dead space.

guys how big is the iOS 4.2.1?

my brand new ipod has only 6.2gb maximum space, now left 3gb. seems like not enough soon.

Wanna ask, if I wanna engrave the iPod Touch 4 after getting the iPod Touch 4. Can? Meaning it's not the free engraving from Apple. Will the warranty void? Anyone can clarify on this matter?

if u mean FM Tuner, then NO. if u mean radio streaming over the internet, then YES
