confirmed got gps chip eh?

Anyone upgrade to iOS 6 already? is there much different? Doesn't seems that much differenct to me.

Upgraded from ios 5 to 6 on ipod touch 4g, changes that affect me are maps, assistive touch.. Previously the assistive touch had much lesser snap point, now I can leave it at any corner of the screen. Can share photos with ios 6 friends, better performance as well. Last time when I unlock screen, there are times it has delayed reaction and will freeze a few seconds (3-5 secs?) before continuing.

I kinda like the new maps, feels like a gps now because of the step by step instructions. The downside of it is I can't load it anymore. Last time I could preload it and view it later on to check. Now I can only load it without multitasking. There are reports also that this map isn't accurate 100%. I've encountered one where the chosen route wasn't supposed to have toll but it was wrong. Yeah the new map has info if there's toll.

Overall it's good for me. Just remember to backup first, I did it without and almost had heart attack when I saw my Camera Roll empty. Restarted the device and it loaded back..

I updated and I find my battery life improve a little.

Where to buy old Ipod Touch like 1G/2G? Still selling?(dont mind if its 2nd hand). Dont want to buy the new because i already got android player, this is for 'backup' gadget.

The price range I saw for 2/3g 8gb was around 240-270.

so ios 6 totally overcomes this issue? thanks for this. i really thought this issue was due to the low memory left on my ipod.

Definitely better, but I won't say that it totally overcame it. It's more like they moved it to before unlocking the screen. This way by the time the screen unlock, you're lag-free. The lag time is also shorter to about 1-3 secs. No, it's not the low memory.. It's an issue that we have to put up with because the processor that can't keep up with the demands from the pod.

Not sure if anyone posted this issue, but currently im having issue with my ipod touch 4G.
Previously was using ios6 beta 4 and didnt touch my ipod for quite some time. Ytd I charge it and i cant use it anymore.
Im stuck at the iPod Activation page and i cant activate it cos I dont have developer account.

Been trying to restore but cant, tried downloading 5.1.1 ipsw to install still cant.
Anyone else faced this issue? how to solve it?

How come the Malaysian Apple Store is still showing "pending agency approval" for the iPod touch and nano? Sirim must be taking forever to test the two devices, I presume...

Biasa lar... I want one myself... Guess we have to wait for another month... say Nov...

UPDATE

I just spoke to Apple's Sales Support Call Center located in SG and they told me that both Malaysia and Singapore are still having the status of "pending agency approval"... Looks like the pre-order customers in the two neighbors will have to wait another week or two before getting their hands on the new iPod touch, myself included...

It won't go to Singapore, FYI, but direct to KL... Dunno how long you have to wait though, but the touch could be at your doorstep earliest Monday, after it has cleared customs in Malaysia...
