Should be no problem at all since current iPad 2 is using A5, whereas the latest gen iPad 3 is still A5x ( Modified A5)  smile.gif

I think that won't be a big concern. Since Apple decided to put A5 into the new iPod touch, which is also used in iPad 2 and iphone4s, so I think the support for it is still there. No worries biggrin.gif

Ipod is for someone like me who dont like to carry around extra baggage or something like that. Just slide in your pocket and your entertainment on-the-go is good to go. Its a hassle to carry around Ipad or tab or something like those.

You're not talking sense as the iPod touch is, in your own words, "an extra baggage" to be carried around. It used to be just a phone in one pocket but now, it's going to be a phone and an iPod touch. If you're serious about "don't like to carry around extra baggage", you would have opted for the iPhone instead of the iPod touch, however way you see it.

Yeah, a phone and iPod touch. Both still can fit in my pocket just fine. What I mean with 'extra baggage' is I don't have to carry it in my hand or carry a bag to keep it around. You see, I'm not a really a big fan of apple, especially of that iPhone. But I can't deny that the screen and most of their games are so easy on the eyes and that is the sole reason I have an iPod. Everything else, I leave it for my android to handle it. cool.gif wink.gif

I see the "extra baggage" point but the iPod touch itself belongs to that category, from all angle.

If you're comparing the iPod touch with other portable gaming devices, then the iPod touch wins, in terms of dimension and weight, and your post rules BUT it's still an "extra baggage" that needs to be carried around and dealt with.

You'll never leave your phone, regardless of the brand or model, at home and bring the iPod touch out, on any given day, but you might consider and in fact, will do the opposite when the situation calls for and when that happens, the mind will register the thought that the iPod touch is an "extra baggage" and whatever experience it offered, suddenly can be found on your smartphone or worst, you wouldn't be bothered of it at all if you're using a normal phone, say Nokia 3315. At that point, you wouldn't mind forgoing the entire gaming experience on the iPod touch just for sake of convenience.

In your case, however, since you said you own an Android, there's no point getting the iPhone, unless you want to switch, which you clearly indicated lack of interest for it, so ...

okay, okay. My english isn't that great thus the confusion with what I'm try to express here. Its not an extra baggage. Its just a hassle to carry around a tab or an iPad, thus I prefer iPod which I can easily slip in my pocket so I can have both my hand available whenever I needed. This what I really want to express before. Of course I still have to carry it around but can you put an iPad in your pocket? Cheers wink.gif

If that's what you intended to say, then just like I mentioned before, the iPod touch has the advantage when it's compared with other portable gaming devices, including the iPad since many like to play games on it.

Cheers, indeed. smile.gif

Looks like the new iPod touch will actually overtake the Samsung Galaxy S Advance that I'm using now, in terms of height (never thought this would happen, the S Advance is one of the largest phones I've used, thus far!)... Of course the iPod is still thinner and not as wide or heavy, for easier placement in the pocket! biggrin.gif

And here are the two devices' dimensions to compare:
iPod touch 5g - 123.4mm (H) x 58.6mm (W) x 6.1mm (D) x 88g (Weight)
S Advance - 123.2mm (H) x 63.0mm (W) x 9.69mm (D) x 120g (Weight)
