red circle is optical toslink output and coaxial output and the blue circle is audio out ..none of them is the audio input

so the red circle TOSlink optical wont work with PS3 optical?

Nope obviously cannot.
PS3 is audio out.
Your mobo is also audio out.

Out and Out obviously means that it won't work.

the 3.5mm got input what?it's a line in

and other words..both optical port are meant to be used connected to speaker / HT

PC -> HT or PS3 ->HT

i got an audio with BD movie / games..but why if change the audio setup in BD movie (Avatar) to DTS, there is no sound?

not to brag or anything but im really good at FPS games on the PC such as Call Of Duty. but when it come to playing it on the PS3, using the friggin' joystick, boy do i SUCK.
i usually play COD at cyber cafes. as you know, to upgrade your PC is sooo expensive. so i have a PS3. and i really wish that i could play FPS on the PS3 using a keyboard and mouse.
well i've tried connecting my keyboard and mouse to the PS3 but failed. i came across a few articles on the web saying that PS3 could support mouse and keyboard unlike the XBOX. but so far nothing.

today when i want using back my AV cable my screen TV blank.nothing happen.

dear sifus...i wanna ask bout proxy download.recently i want to play motorstorm2 online but it required me to download update.i tried to update,but broke on the halfway.i tried it three times but unsuccessful.so i might to try to use proxy download.izzit possible?cos afaik proxy download only can be done to demo (coz it can download in the background).the question is can i download the update via proxy and how?the file is too big(1gb).

yes you can download update files too using proxy download.

some games are not possible due to ingame update... and proxy download can't detect those

anyway what is ur ps3 sound setting? since there's bunch of options related to optical...

Bro try looking for XFPS 4.0 Force... U can use ur mse n keyboard as u wish!! But the only downside is that u need to connect it to ur pc...

Guys, just wanna confirm something with y'all...

cos there was a forumer in another forum asking about the region problem which is "Can HK PS3 play games from Malaysia game disc?"

Then I answered the TS that PS3 is region free so meaning to say can play any game from any region, except that DLC is region specific and even give him an example where R3 Resident Evil can only buy add on content from R3 region server. Am I correct up to this point?

then there was another forumer said that I am absolutely wrong.... here goes his answer:

"Absolutely wrong.

You CAN buy Resident Evil 5 R1 content and play with your Resident Evil 5 R3 disc. I have actually tried that.

The most important thing is to have a US account to buy your R1 content (can use fake address too)."

I know this question has been asked for so many times already but I am wondering if for all time that I get my information wrong or this another fellow get his info wrong?
Cos for all I can read from this thread in the beginning it says PSN DLC is region specific to the game region that you bought.. for example US Warhawk only works with US Warhawk DLC...

Some games dlc are region free like RE5 & Dragon Age: Origins, while other games like Warhawk are region locked.
