noob question...hdmi connect fr ps3 to lcd tv...i got one of those pc speaker with subwoofer...i thk i hav a red+white jack with the other end 3.5mm jack which i currently plug to my pc sound...so can this work with ps3 too?

should it connect to the lcd tv headphone jack? hmm.gif

you can set ps3 to output hdmi (audio+video) to the lcd tv, then you can plug in those pc speaker system to the lcd tv... it has LINE OUT from the tv (back of the tv usually).

There's no need to use the headphone jack.

if the hdmi port is dead, there's no way to fix it... you have to use multi-av to output video (composite/component)

since hdmi port integrated, you have to change ps3 motherboard too

used ps2 component cable for testing

got hd output (i tried 720p)...the colours are not as good as hdmi output...

Yea.
Not as good because with Component, we cannot enable Deep Color and Full RGB.
So the contrast and colors would appear washed out, but that's the nature of how the game would look without any "enhancements".

take care of your hdmi port and cable... switch ps3 and the tv/monitor off before unplugging the hdmi cable

if leave hdmi connected...after few years will the hdmi head deteriorate? start berkarat or some mould...just like a usb head

Hey there, i need help with dlc's, here's the deal

im trying to download a dlc for red dead redemption(R3) called 'Out-laws to the end' so i already downloaded it and finish installed it (tried with MY account and US account) but for some reason when i boot up the game then go to the downloadable content section but it says 'no downloadable content' anybody know whats the problem?

I believe Deep Color isn't of much use to us as we need a display with a 12bit panel. Most TN LCDs are 8 bit with dithering only and the more expensive *IPS and LCD TVs have only 10bit panels.

Hi, need some here about sound setting...i just bought LCD monitor and its connected to my PC, also my PS3 connect to this LCD using HDMI...when use PC input my speakers sound system is ok, but when switch to PS3 input no sound in my PC speaker....how?

FYI i setup my PS3 to LCD-HDMI and my sound setting is in optical, becoz i use optical cable connect my PS3 to PC optical plug....now im confused...can some one help me?
