planning to buy hdmi for my ps3. so, i went to several shops and ask. there are several types of cables ranging from 30 to 50.. can anyone tell me what is the diff and which brand to choose? also what is dvi-d to hdmi?

i did see the hdmi 1.3... does it mean that it has a better quality? is there any other version>?

all hdmi cables are the same quality. if some salesman told you gold plated is better quality, you have been conned!

guys i got a prob ! I was playin ps3 on lcd tv so that one uses hdmi so i change to hdmi for audio and video . Now i m connected to hdmi - dvi for video and the audio connector for audio . then my monitor receives no video signal .. I resettd a couple of times when i have the signal , can see xmb menu , i changed my audio option to audio input connector and the display goes away again . receive no signal . ANyone experience before ? or else i got to play ps3 without audio which sucks . I dun even know what happened ..

go to the display setting again..select HDMI...then there's a step it will ask the audio option

did that too . when i choose audio input connector .. display straight gone .. then i have to reset and all again =.=

guys, why my tekken6 character graphic looks jitter? (not smooth/no AA)
i connect to TH42PX80 via HDMI cable. i've set to 1080p in ps3 setting.

is it because of my reso? 1024 x 768

why u'r reso only 1024 x 768?

i guess panasonic TH42PX80 plasma is not full HD... lolz

i also using Viera 42" HD ready only bro (VIERA TH-P42X10K)..never faced any problem

Your TV does not have an upscale feature, that means the game will be forced to play in 480p/576p.
At 480p, your TV will upsclae to its native 1024x768, games will look blur.

Disable 1080p and just use 720p.


Because that plasma was one of the earlier generations of plasma TVs, 2nd generation infact...
Most plasmas back then (year 2001-2003) only has a max resolution of 1024x768, some were still 800x450 actually.

his TV use an old technology?
