anyone got any news from gardens today? did the staff give any information or did anyone manage to buy?

yea ler i also wanna know ... btw night they get some sort of allocation right .. so does that mean you can buy outright and also get the phone via contract... ?? people keep mentioning that only can buy outright at night ... zzz

so many people asked for garden updates.

here we go

arrived 9.30 am
rep went out announce they'll take only 30 people for walk-in, and the rest is already booked to customers who register on the launch day.
i am the last person who got lucky to be in the queue for the walk in. so i suggest those who want to go tommorow, u need to be there before 9.30a.m just to be safe.

anyway, the process was the same as almost all maxis center i suppose, they asked you to fill up the form, then ask for your phone number so they can call you when your turn is up. after waited around 7 long hours (of course i spent most of my time window shopping at midvalley lol) ithey called me at 3.15 p.m. and i got my iphone 32gb with prepaid plan and free 500mb data plan for 1 year.


tips

1) go early, as early as you can, since it can greatly reduced your wait time lol
2) existing customer really speed up the process. I suggest if you are not existing customer, please port in before you queue tomorrow or you'll have to wait longer, much longer.
3) keep checking in at the maxis center what was the current queue number. I checked at 1.15 p.m. the queue was at 15, which was half way through, but then they called me at 3.15p.m to collect my iphone, while i am number 30! my point is, their process time vary greatly, so you really can't estimate when you can get the iphone.
4) don't go too far from the maxis center. best place to loiter is at the ground floor, where they have nice couch, or just go to borders, where you can loiter around and read the books there for free lol. reason to stay close is, they usually call several people at once, so if you were there first, u get your iphone first la.
5) yes you can buy the iphone outright, and get it with prepaid, but to speed up the process, get the prepaid pack earlier. the free 500mb data plan availibility is uncertain. Coz when the repm wanted to do it for me, the system reject it and the rep told me couldn't get the free data plan anymore. then after asking the rep to keep trying, the rep finally manage to get it for me. so they might be able to help you or they might not.

and they don't accept any new prebook as they are saying they wanted to go through will all the previous prebook first.

not so bad ah, since i do have the time, and not really wait, i went shopping and then went to borders to do some free readings lol but yeah it was totally worth it, since i wanted iphone 4 with prepaid plan only, and garden is as far as i know, the only maxis center who had no problem selling the iphone with prepaid plan, meaning no contract, free 500mb data plan, and best of all, my existing prepaid plan was youth club lol.


forgot to mention, the rep told me that maxis are no longer accepting new youth club plan. i tried to register new number and get the youth club plan, and that's what they told me. luckily my old number (haven't use since may) still active, so i just requested the new micro sim (cost extra rm25)

hey guys if i wanna buy iphone4 16/32GB without contract but with installment via visa card how much need i pay every month and deposit needed?

it's not a compulsory i think. it's optional.
my sis signed up for the ivalue plan, but i got the phone (she doesn't want the phone). the staff cut my prepaid sim card to micro sim without charges.

i just realized my 500mb free data plan still not activated. call cs and they say to go back to maxis center and tell them to activate it. guess i need to go back to garden tommorow, was planning to get the casing tommorow as well. i really hope i can get the free 500mb data plan, otherwise, might as well get the iphone cheaper with postpaid plan

I also buy the outright purchase at gardens today. Reach there at 9.20 and my number is 28. At 3pm I got my new iPhone 4. But because I don't have maxis prepaid, I don't get the 500mb data. Sad.

huh? maxis allowed u to buy outright eventho u r nt their existing prepaid or new prepaid user?? sounds kewl.. if i were u, i bought the outright ip4 together wif the new prepaid. thn u will gt d free 500mb data.. hehe.. nw a lil wasted
