Lost control, hit the left side of the car. Panicked, steer to the right (but oversteer), car spun to the center lane. Front & driver side got hit hard by following lorry (a 6-wheeler i guess).
The impact knocked the engine out of its mounting & a passenger into the sea.
Make sense?

Make sense..... Livina lost control, bang the divider which might cause damage on the car edi. Car flew in the middle of the road, fully loaded "Lori Sayur" came and whack the damage/wounded vehicle till the engine come off.

What kind of "lost control"? If he already "lost control" of his car, how the heck did he change lane?

sad news. RIP to the deceased, both very young couple, with a 2 months old daughter. sad sad. next time, drive safe on the penang bridge.
i know why certain driver were forced to cut lanes. because certain "smart" people driving at 80Km/h refused to move to the left lane & hog the right lane no matter how you beam them. so when they got frustrated, they switch to the left lane, causing this kind of mishap.
please to all those who "terasa" you are people who drives slow but always sticking to the right lane, you are partly responsible for this kind of accidents.

Eh bro,The bridge there speed limit is 80kmph . its perfectly fine for right lane to go at 80kmph as they follow speed limit. You trying to incite us to get caught for speeding ?

hmm... Will it help if it had VSC/ESC and 4 wheel ABS/EBD (with rear disc brake)?
p/s: [off-topic] Nissan didn't bother to put VSC/ESC even in hi-spec Sylphy.

If you stay within speed limit @ 80km/h + press your brake during emergency, I doubt you can crash your car until the engine falls off. Even if you LOST CONTROL.
So, I think the driver was running at very high speed + he did NOT press the brake.

Agree with you on this.....there are 3 friggin lanes on the bridge....leftmost is for slow moving vehicles and heavy vehicles.....middle lane is where u stay after overtaking....right lane is ONLY for overtaking....its the same anywhere in the world...after u overtake, be prudent and move back to the left lane......Unfortunately, it has become a trend to drive slowly on the right lane eventhough the middle lane is perfectly empty.
