I'm planning to get one today from this shop call Cameravalley located at Sunway Giza Mall, Kota Damansara. Bought some batteries before this from the same place for my µ4/3 camera and have no issue with it. Will update you on the performance smile.gif

Decided to bring the X100 for a walk eventhough it is freezing cold outside. These kids were looking at Christmas decoration and santa claus through the glass.

Hey guys ,

New X100 owner reporting in tongue.gif

Got a cheap deal on this as someone was letting it go due to upgrades.

Just one question i got, With the Fn button on the top right corner ... Is the button a bit "hard-ish" solid to press on ? Not like the bouncy type of button ( if you know what I mean , like PS3 controller where you get very good feedback / bouncy feeling )

Yeap. That button is a bit hard-ish; like no dampening. nod.gif

All right cool !
At first I was like wow , is this thing stuck.
But after a while it is pretty responsive ( have to pressed on angle )

And one thing , is there a way to check shutter counts on the X100 ?

An estimation would be good if there's no definite.

Tried googling but the stuffs are pretty limited from what I can find.

*EDIT*
Looked at the file names, images saved on the SD Card ..
DSCF0503.RAF

Does it mean that the camera only has 503 counts ?

Looked at other forums,
It said that once the people updated their firmware the counter will reset. I'm guessing the first owner took another 500 pictures after upgrading.
Been used for 3 months.

I'm guessing its about 1000 - 1500 pictures.

Congrats on your purchase!

Just out of curiosity I checked my Fn button and while its not soft/bouncy, it definitely isn't hard. There should be a click to the button when you depress it. Don't have to press very hard either. Just a light press.

My X100 Fn button not that hard to press. Maybe you should check it again or send it to the service centre. I also bought mine 2'nd hand and noticed there's a dust spot on the sensor. Send it to service centre and within 1 week the service it for me for free rclxms.gif

Yeah the count will reset once you updated the firmware. Anyway don't worry about the count. Just enjoy shooting. :-)

The number of counts doesn't really bother me but it is nice to know as the 2nd owner.

How do you guys keep your camera clean ?

Any Polish Kit to recommend ?

And also, how do you guys bring your camera out ? With a case ? half case ? Pouch ? Or go naked ? yawn.gif

Need to buy accessories for it now tongue.gif
