Hmm.. you know what, this game has managed to convert me too.
But is it worth getting one game for the 3DS ?
Cause I already have a PSP, and if I buy this, it'd probably be for DOA only.

Can someone give me a suggestion ?
What is the current price for the 3DS in lowyat anyway ?
Is the game out ?
Do we need to buy the disc to play the game, or we have other alternatives.
Or, could you actually play the game with other series of Nintendo DS instead of the 3DS version ?

Sorry, I'm new to this doh.gif

I've known people who bought an XBox only for Gears of War 2 (He played 1 on PC).

After much thinking and I think 1 year after he bought it, then only he ventured out to other consoles.

So its still ok, if just for one game. Later on, see how the industry goes. If its kind to you, you can keep it. If not, sell it off.

Hmm.. doh.gif, was the 360 his first console ?
I wanted to get a 360 for DOA4 only, but as the years passed by, I noticed lots of PS3-esque games are porting themselves to 360 too.
That's why I wanted to get it.
But that never happened.

Currently, my brother owns a Wii and PS3, we've never touched either of those consoles because we have no time for it.
But honestly, are there many players who are playing DOA:Dimensions on 3DS in Malaysia ?
The partial reason for me to get a 3DS is because of its accessibility for LAN matches.
It's always better to fight people than AIs sleep.gif.

Is the game out in Malaysia though ?
And what's the current price for the console in Lowyat, if you happen to know that doh.gif ?
You can actually play the game with the button pads right, instead of using that magic pen and select..
Thanks biggrin.gif

Not really, he had others. He just managed to make sure he has the time for all on his plate. tongue.gif

I think so far not many yet, stocks are available through other sellers like PBBseller, Rocket_jet, Stevenchan, while I wait for mine. haha.

But it may be like SSF4 3D, not many players.

You can refer to my signature for the price of the 3DS, though others may be a little lower (US and Singapore sets tend to be a bit lower).

And yup. Classic style is still there. tongue.gif

Oh wtfshit.
Your collection of games just reminded I wanted to buy a few other games like that Advanced Wars game.
The 3DS is the one with RM910 right ?
Actually, whats the difference between a 3DS and non-3DS ?
As in can you actually play the DOA game without the 3DS and play it with the other DS series ?
Cause I find having to look at a two screens to be really annoying sleep.gif.
Hmm, maybe I'll wait for your stock to come in first.
Then I'll try find ways to get money to buy the 3DS, lol.

LOL. I think my poison has worked its charm. But have a good conscious mind and I think you can make the right decision from there. tongue.gif And yup, its RM 910.

Actly, I don't there was a DOA for DS. But to put it simpler, 3DS can play 3DS games (region locked) and DS games (Free region). While DS is just for DS.

Well if you're talking about DOA, most of the fighting is always top screen, since you'll be pressing buttons rather than the touch screen. tongue.gif

Sure2. If u need anymore queries answered, please PM me instead. Don't want to sidetrack from the topic here. hehe.

I don't really like how Tag Challenge works...The game sometimes just force me to switch my CPU partner whenever it wants..When Im busy bashing the opponent, the CPU just tag in automatically...And when the CPU do the same, it switch back to me again without me pressing any button, eventhough his/her or my health is full..I don't know why..

Another problem is as the game progress, opponents just get tougher and hard to defeat; they receive less damage and do more damage to us...That's fine, but problem is the AI partner is just stupid sometimes..They can stand still while the opponents do the combo blindly..I wish I can control second partner..

but luckily I managed to get to Mission 19 (and unlocked 4 tough characters if done in Mission 17), but now it's too tough to beat...The previous mission, I always use Zack since he has fast moves and better combo..

[Hint: After that, use Genra for cheap winning because of his projectile move, combine with Tengu, then unlocked Alpha 152 character tongue.gif]

Finished playing and completed all modes. Now the only thing left is completing figurines...oh, and collecting DLCs and special Spotpass Throwdown for rare figurines..

BTW, online match too laggy...:/

Rented this game together with Shadow Wars.

I can say this is a pretty solid and nice looking fighting game. Chronicle Mode is kinda confusing though but I enjoyed all the cutscenes.

I bought DOA.D 3DS just to get a feel of the more recent DOA3 & 4 which is only available on the Xbox/360 thus far. DOA.D kinda felt a little lighter in every terms although it really did combine most features from previous doa games. I dunno, maybe the lower screen res made me feel that way that it's less immersive compared to it's console counterparts. But that's okay as i completely understand i'm currently playing the handheld ver. of the game.

I used to play DOA2 on the Dreamcast a lot and i love it's Tag Battle & Team Mode. However just like azfar90 mentioned the tag mode in DOA.D forces u to switch with ur cpu-controlled partner and that was disappointing for me as i see no problems controlling both character per switch. As for team mode, there were none. I'm not sure if team mode was available for Local 3DS Play instead of Solo or Internet.

Jan Lee's movement in DOA.D resembles his DOA3 & 4 model. Which is a bit speedier than the DOA2 version that i'm used too. It's not like i like him being slower. I just think his DOA2 model has a more impactfull feeling when he moves or attacks. I haven't seen any of his DOA2 customes in the 3DS version and still hoping for it.

I immediately notice Ryu Hayabusa's double palm attack can be held down and produce aura damage.

I recently realized that Kokoro is the female/friendly version of Akira Yuki from Virtua Fighter. Due to not having an Xbox/360, this is my first time playing her and some other characters.

Online is laggy but can be sped up a little if both users turn off their 3D effect. I think the online system in SSF4 3DS works way if not miles better than DOA.D 3DS. Most of the time i end up having "Rejected" match-ups.

I'm still stuck on 100 Opponent in Survival Mode. Managed to get through 80+

Chronicle Mode is basically Story Mode but it's presentation is a bit confusing. The time & setting was correct, but the way each character comes in & out switching from one to another's plot needs more work.

Photo Mode only lets you save pictures and view it inside the game and not transfer it to the 3DS's own photo mode. This perhaps was knowingly not made in light to sexual controversial use.

Anyone still playing this...

I've pretty much do complete everything in this game and already have all download costumes..
only now is collecting rare figurines that can be get through spotpass/streetpass throwdown only..Each character has one space for that rare figurine..

Playing online just really not worth to me; always get rejected from match..so I gave up to play online..At least SFIV can connect perfectly to me recently...
I only play 1 match and won, but it's really laggy with 20FPS speed..

Now, only messing around, fighting random opponents and play again Chronicle mode, and occasionally
take 3D pictures of 'woman's best angle'..biggrin.gif
I might get boring later on and planning to sell it..

Yeah..I got beaten up pretty bad there....I feel like my 3DS almost loose already, mashing buttons with no specific moves...

I need practice though with counter attack...
