hi guys, i went to gerik,up north 2 days back.i did get the opportunity to visit lfs there.
nothing much, same old stuff(aro,kelah,gourami.etc)
what do interest me was that they have electric catfish 3-4 inches ,price was quoted for rm20.
they also have snapping turtle

doing my bits trying to resuscitate this thread

electric cat fish only rm 20 < - pang my sweetheart, can get the fish at this price ?

I saw a couple of electric catfish for sale at that pet shop near Fatty Crab. Can't remember the name of the store but it looks like its a warehouse. Was under RM50 if I'm not mistaken - wasn't really paying attention. They did have a couple of alligator gars though.

Added on December 21, 2010, 7:19 pmi would have gotten the fish..but it was not possible as i am heading to Cameron Highland.
poor guy sitting(he was basically sitting on it's butt and staring into my face) all alone in a fish bowl

Fatty Crab is Taman Megah or something? Next exit on LDP after SS2 heading towards Sunway.

My family members are all cat lovers and its been about 1.5 years since my Mum's 13 year old Persian died. Since her birthday coming up, thought we'd get her a replacement since enough time has passed.

Added on December 23, 2010, 12:39 amDon't really know that many shops but Koi were bought from Koi Division in Tropicana. Their food is bought from Koi Division as well.
Aside from that, sometimes I stop by the pet store in Ikano for marine fish pellets but not all the time; perhaps 3-4 times a year at most.
If I'm in the area, I stop by XL in Shah Alam and spend sometime just looking at the fishes but have yet to buy anything from there.
Lately, have been going Pusat Haiwan Atlantis Safari in Taman OUG because my fishes are there at the moment. This is the most time-consuming shop I've ever been to as I can never find the exit and usually end up leaving when the shop closes. Only because the owner chains me to a desk and makes me do various things like setup Ubuntu and other nonsense.

I Have went to several lfs around kL and Selangor..
Anyone have went to irene aquarium at pj.sek 16..there also have some rare fish.

How much ur budget for the tank?

And how much the electric eel?

I Think Akidos want to use the eel to save his electric bill...hahaha..dont mad ar Akidos...

i already have the tank but need to get the external filter + internal lighting + sand + misc about rm 400 max.

The electric eel imported from south africa - rm 450. From I heard, it charges the electricity when it moves and can continue releasing electricity until the charges finish.

That means the on at the shop near Fatty Crab must not be an Electric Catfish as its definitely not 800 bucks.
