Yeah, that Arapaima belongs to me as do all the fishes in that 7ft tank actually. Just waiting for it to grow bigger before moving it. Saved from Nilufar which had a pair in a 1.5ft tank however its 'twin' was already stunted and did not make it and I lost that one about 2 weeks or so after getting them from Nilufar.
owh really?well sorry for the twin..but his partner looks great dude.
that Boulengerochromis microlepis is also yours? man im envy that fish..hahaha heard that guy already sold is that true?

This is africa arowana. If spotted arowana can't find in LFS, I might try this africa arowana. Did anybody here keep this before? Is it hard to keep? I understand that it may have problem with the food because it eat through filter in the mouth.
i used to hv 2 afro but 1 of them was served as dinner for my mala wolf.huhu got them since they r still babies. 2" size. well keeping afro ks not that hard. u needto know(i believe u already know) that this guy is a filter feeder kind of fish(same goes to paddlefish.) they fed on plankton or any small creatures found in your tank. as my afro fed on frozen bloodworms as hes still baby. as they grow, u can train them to accept chopped market prawn or fish or pellet. but must vary your feeding with bloodworm as this guy is a filter feeder till death! hahaha nice fish to keep anyway. good luck to you.

Nope that is not mine. Its an African arowana. If you want, i have the source. But it's a small juv one though...and feeding wise, i heard my frens are feeding it tomato..
Haha sorry my bad, i thought he meant this aro. Well if it's the pearl aro frm the eastern side....i think you have to place special order for it. Although the price is not expensive...but not many...or maybe in very very rare occasion our LFS might have it. Even African aro is hard to get.
That's good news. My spotted gar is still refusing to feed on pellets....while my alligator gar feeds on anything he sees...lol
Hmmm... an aggressive gar, you can try to separate them with a glass panel. Allowing visual contact only, and remove the panel one per month. Observe if they fight...if no then ok...if yes then repeat. Means he is not hungry enough...haha
how did ur frenz feed afro with tomato?does it will cloud the water?haha nice info would like to try it!
agreed that its hard to get it..do you have any contact for Aussie exporter?
well good idea! i was thinking to put him in a jail tank...hahahaha hes very aggresive..FYI ur adopted oscar was bitten once by this guy but now fully recover. hes now fed on feeder fish, hikari chichlid staple and jumbo carnistick.hehehe
