Really retarded for Kent3888. What's the point keep chasing new gears while your photos are piece of junk ?
Seriously all your photos are PnS. Polish your skill instead of being a gear head. I can see others using D40 but shooting nicer than your previous D5000.

And I used to shoot pre-wedding with D5000 too.
Skill matters more than gears !

Easy say all people have their own ways. Keep minding your own business. Those pictures have his own signature. So... lets get back to d7000 shall we?

Like my sifu always say "If you like the conversation then join but if you don't like it then back off politely"

Can unquote the photo ? Forget this isn't D5000 thread. That photo was taken using D5000. Later people misunderstand that photo took by D7000 laugh.gif

I never say I'm pro. Just your words make me laugh as you're saying new technology and stuff. That's too much to worry about. How long will you use your own camera ? 2 years ? That's the life cycle of the camera for Nikon. By the time, it's already paid off as most client's job already cover that.

Between D7000 and D300s easy. You need FULL HD video ? You need higher MP ( Oh noob people will take MP as a big factor yo. ), or you need more focus point ? More accurate and faster metering ? Tell me and I can point you which to get.

Cheers.

Not worth the upgrade unless you're looking for full HD and better noise control.
And of course better body and higher MP, higher FPS.
Would suggest to take up FF instead of D7000 wink.gif

Quite a massive amount to invest from DX to FF, unless you have huge budget.

The best way if you know you're going FF, slowly ditch DX lenses.
That's what I do basically. And my drybox and left 1 old 18-70 which I used for group photo purpose only.

Portrait even D40/5000/3100 can shoot.

Event, I'd go for better fps. And CF card in writing speed, just in case your buffer get full up quickly.
Not to forget, focusing and metering for D300s if not mistaken is the same as of D700.

And D300s is actually semi pro level. D7000 isn't. It below D300s. Of course some will say the spec is better. Full HD and etc. By the end of the day, the question is will you be using all that ? smile.gif

If i'm you, I'd go for D300s. Personally play with it and feel it's way better than D90. I haven't touch D7000 yet. can't comment on that. Probably next week I can talk about that. smile.gif

Actually is my friend D300s and the wife wanted to upgrade the D90 to D7000. So guess I will be lucky to have D300s, D7000 and D90 side by side ? tongue.gif

Too bad don't have same lenses to try out. 17-55 on 300s ? then D7000 and D90 with 35mm and 50mmG ? laugh.gif
No idea. Must figure out how.

I know D7000 has higher pixel density hence will create higher noise compared to that of D300s. Dat's y I am unsure with the performance of D7000 in noise control, I personally tried it but felt it's not as good as I though in terms of noise control, I have high hope because I saw review of D3100 shows very good noise control. My question is if D7k would serve me well for another 2 more years, I'm more than happy for it. It's like ppl bought D90 back in 2008, would never regret for it. Juz dunno how well Nikon done their job for D7k this time in terms of new sensor technology.

Definitely will provided you not itchy to go FF.
And to be honest, I'm disappointed with D7000 noise control Muddy even at ISO 3200. Not as reported by Chase Jarvis whereby usable.

And to me the new sensor on lower end body is more to white rat. Why they didn't launch directly on FF but on lower end body first ? Think about this and you should be understand my thought regarding white rate smile.gif
