my graphic card is 5870CF but when i see it from my device manager it show only 5800 series after u install the 10.8 catalyst from amd website.

just right click on it and update driver via online then ok liao

ya, they done a lot on the cooling cause it is "Gaming System" which needs cooling, sound u can get a better speaker out there. since can afford, i think to afford another speaker with 5.1 shouldnt be a problem

havent update the bios...Dont know and dun dare to update .. also got no time to read the manual yet
update: i just installed the bios..kinda straight forward just follow step by step

Hey guys. I was about to buy a M17x 5870 graphics card today, but I was told to buy the one model older that runs Radeon Mobility HD 4870 graphics card due to issues that many users have with the 5870 graphics card.

How true is that? =O

Is the 5870 card very new or something? It sounds kinda silly buying a dual graphics card gaming laptop, only to use half its potential =o

nah, not that kind of problem, usually 5870 problem are like missing unit in sc2, sleep and unsleep mode window black screen, some minor error which cause u unable to run some stuff(mostly benchmark program)

you better put warning label for Vista x64 user before any of them ranting due to crashing Windows....
