hi Mazda user, after change the ori Dunlop tire, will the cabin quiet a bit? currently I feel my cabin very noisy especially on highway..or any sound proof method will you recommend? thanks a lot
*
The road noise mainly due to tires noise which is seems the same when i change to good year or even toyo now. based on most tires shop, good year nct5 is popular of noise therefore i change to toyo with just bit lesser noise. the tire print is quite sporting and good for wet road but it may produce optimal noise also. if you really care about the noise, maybe you could try others tires with more gentle tire print which may produce lesser noise. however, 16" rims and the hard suspension of mazda 2 also contribute part of the noise so the noise can only be lessen but unavoidable.

Most shops outside will not provide mazda parts as it is low in demand. Any required parts still preferable to get at Mazda Service Centre  to avoid shops outside gave you vios or city parts and tell you they are the same, instead of mazda's 1 due to try to get your business. But, it's all depend on you. Ori parts always more expensive and takes time. maintenance cost wise, i think it is almost the same with most japanese car, engine oil plus filter might cost you rm200 to rm350 depend on which engine oil you choose, major maintenance could cost till rm1500 which i just kena when car hit 60k milage.

Thanks for the kind reply.

may I know what kind of maintenance is it for the 60k mileage ? And if the 3 year warranty had finish, still go back to Mazda service center or I can just visit any 3rd party mechanic to do it ?

Thanks

Expensive 1 was the fuel filter and pump filter. Then there are air filter, cabin filter etc.

Looking forward to buy Mazda2 but I'm looking for manual transmission.
But Bermaz isn't bringing in the manual transmission model.
Is there anything I can do to get the manual transmission?
