Indeed, this is not very nice, every time we must reinstall the SPB to work, i uninstalled and i reinstalled my LauncherPRO Plus.

im notice that this spb version only works well on offline condition.if u connect to the data then it straight away detect un-purchase spb.this is make the luncher turn off.btw any guy using finland froyo leak?it deblur right?can give some review on that stock rom??i cannot 'tahan' anymore waiting for stock SEA froyo

was using the stock finland ROM. i think it's best you re-flash direct to LiquidArc ROM. definitely much better and gives much better battery life

another one that i might try would be Barebones, if you like customising your own phone massively

Added on April 2, 2011, 11:51 pmi just realised that LiquidArc ROM has no APN settings, meaning you wont be running 3G or getting MMS.

add this in your Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Network Settings/Access Point Names, Add APN

Go to: Settings > Wireless and Networks Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

Name: Maxis 3G
APN : unet (or net for 2G)
Proxy : 202.75.133.49
Port : 80
MMSC : http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc
MMS Proxy : 202.75.133.49
MMS Port : 80

Others leave blank, then save your profile

i think with the settings, battery life shorter la...i tried to have a non-existent settings, ie, everything empty except APN : net

not sure if can help battery life, but i still see Edge being used. does that mean i'm on 2G? if cannot tahan, maybe i should just delete all the APNs

what apps can actually be used by defy to make video calls?
frings have problem with mic, skype only voice calls, tango is useless, so what else we got?

Yahoo Messenger will make video and voice too but for video you need to run Android 2.2

Wanted to get one but want to make sure that I am satisfy with the phone, as i just tried out the Desire Z and the 800mhz proc is quite sluggish to my liking, so I'm afraid the Defy's 800mhz would be the same, and Maxis doesnt have any demo unit.
