andrewtst is much more expert than you,I would think...you are just trying to force us to buy a BD player,u selling it is it?
Same price as this Samsung, get the Samsung better

Hi there,

Is not about forcing anybody in this thread 2 buy this 3d player.is ur money...is up to youuu...
You dont get what I means since beginning rclxub.gif

Im just proposing a good choice(value for money)at current time because 3D player at 500-600 is consider cheap if compare to
other model 3D which is 1500-2500 price.

Let me remind u again....IM NOT SELLER IN THIS AV THREAD..ok biggrin.gif

how much is samsun blu ray player BD-C6500?
*
C6500 is more expens. than 5500 due to wifi(built in) for C5500 need to hook up dongle(seperate buy)

@adil-hazly,

I get your point - spend extra RM200++ invest for 3D capable blu-ray player is worth as it is quite cheap also.

but My point - It is redundant spending extra RM200++ (you can do more other things with that extra RM200++) rather than invest in 3D capable blu-ray player where I believe most people don't have 3D TV or intend to buy it now due to it over price issue.

Laser head is not last longer, when the time 3D TV became friendly price, I believe the 3D BD player you buy now already near/end the lifespan. That why I don't think invest 3D BD player is a correct choice at the moment unless you are superb rich where spending RM15 / 20k++ for a 3D TV is not an issue.

If you can't invest a 3D TV, what the point invest a 3D BD player?

Yessss...i agreed somehow ur point " Laser head is not last longer, when the time 3D TV became friendly price, "

Somehow your has impress me with above sentence my friend.....

3Dtv now is showing price down trend, for 3D plasma (50inch) can get rm8500 to 10k.

Only the LED 3D is more exp(10k-15k).

U mark my word from now ...for less than 1.5 years the price will drastically going down.........and during that tiime also the 3d player also will be cheap....

Hi all,

Better go for sams C5900 if Har.Norm can sell at Rm 500-599 price point.

Because 5900 is 3D build in use a different video chipset processing(mainboard) if compare to C5500.

Just add 4 few hundred RM... go for C5900.U wont be regret

3D BD player need to couple with 3D HDTV.
If you got the money, yes why not to burn it now. Some consumer can be categorized as early adopter. rclxms.gif

But I'm not early adopter, for the time being, I'm happy with standard BD. icon_idea.gif

cheers bro!

Yesterday went to HLK Setia Alam and made enquiries about C5500 but received dissappointing info.

1. The whole outlet still no stock except display unit
2. Restock still not confirm as one of the sales personal I spoke mention that the limited stock is actually break-up unit from bundled home theater system. Even if restock I still sceptical whether the price will be still about rm399 hmm.gif hmm.gif
(I managed to glance their stock inventory system and the lowest price they can sell is rm350. kuddos to anyone who got that price)

Need bro/sis help to recommand me any place in Klang Valley which can still get this C5500 at rm399 icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Online seller also ok but hopefully he/she is in Klang Valley (coz I prefer COD)

Thanks in advance

If playing a MKV movie on the 5500 fr a HDD do you still get 5.1 or 7.1 channel audio if it is connected via HDMI to a AVR? Do not want to connect another optical cable.

No need extra optical. Just HDMI is sufficient.

I know that HDMI is sufficient for audio and video output.

But if just using HDMI will it output 5.1 and above if using HDD or Thumbdrive playback of eg MKV files (not using a physical BD or DVD disc which definitely outputs min 5.1)

Maybe you misunderstood my question here.

You just contradicted yourself, bro. Why invest in something now which will depreciate in value in the future? Care to share? hmm.gif

Oh wait. Never mind.

Hello everyone. I just want to know, is it normal when we use optical cable and send it to our AV receiver, there still got normal stereo sound on our tv? The 5.1 system working just fine and I already change my BD player audio setting to Bitstream(re-encode). Everytime I'm using my home theater to watch movies I need to cut my tv volume to 0. Just wondering. smile.gif
