Maybe you need to complete the initial Setup first. Please refer to page 28 of the user manual and follow the instructions.

Please complete the initial setup, need to do so before you can play any BD on that.

sometime i find the sensor fromt panel a bit slow.
need to touch 2 times then only the tray will eject
especially after playing a disc.

My recent test:

Samsung BD-C5500 can playback 4.3GB++ .mkv file perfectly and support .srt subtitle without any problem. No language encoding issue as well.
Bravo! more and more loving it now.


** Subtitle embedded inside .mkv file is not detectable, only separate .srt subtitle is detectable and working fine.
** Use MKVcleaver + MKVToolNix if you need to extracting out the subtitle inside .mkv file.

dude, how about 1080p mkv files which is around 8.00GB -+?

i tested a file, certain chinese characters cannot display. instead it displays a square box.

tried before LOTR - Return of the king 14.9GB/The Rock 12.9GB can play without any problem

mange to get the internet@tv working using a wifi AP configured as client mode (no need expensive samsung wifi dongle) smile.gif ... nice nice... rm399 reall worth the money, most of the .avi and mkv format dl from internet also playable from usb HDD...bravo...2 thumbs up...
