dunno though. Siang Electrical is having a year-end sale, and they are selling BD-C5500 at RM399 as well. in fact few of the electrical stores in mainland area do sell around that price. maybe u can do some surveying around penang island.

I dun blame that saleman...not many ppl know what is MKV...they are not exposed to that world yet..they only know DVD, BD , poor quality downloaded stuff from youtube and 3gp.
Salesman know what is told to them to say, they dun bother abt searching info by googling and stuff...thats why got so many ppl not satisfied with salesman.

But i like to listen to the crap talk of salesman..sometimes can learn a thing or two from their crap knowledge.

Example my modem always hang...and when i ask the salesman, he said that the model can get very hot and shut itself down....
So tried putting a heatsink at the bottom at sure enough he was right.. laugh.gif

BHB. I just bought a unit at RM350/ at Gurney Plaza. Having a Panasonic roadshow promo there. Bought a Pana TV since they had a promo price then just enquired whether they had the Sammy BD player but no stock there for display since it's a Pana promo and all the other shops there did not have the Sammy either so I just booked it together. No haggling needed since he quoted me at the above price so i just added it to the purchase list.

If you want you can contact the Supervisor Jason Teoh at 282 2880 Jelutong Branch.

Intended to only buy a BD player but ended up with another TV. Pocket koyak.

Would like to find out whether if I were to use a 2.5" HDD I do not need any external power supply and if I were to use a 3.5" HDD I would need to connect an external power supply. Is this scenario correct?

Thanks for the help. In that case I better just buy a 2.5" HDD. No need for an extra bulky power connector.

Make sure buy high speed HDD, I facing terrible lagging issue when I playback from one of my old 150GB hard disk.

I didn't face any issue after copying my .MKV file to newer 500GB HDD.
