Thank you for your suggestion.  I may give it a try.  I did see that you recommend NOD32.  Is it a good , paid Antivirus program?  I am quite disappointing with KIS now.  It gives some false positive detection (as I use some bots and craked programs) and it is slowing down my laptop and desktop.

I might be giving a try on Avira Free + Comodo Free firewall, what do you think?

Multiple security software might hog resources too. I still have to live on with my KIS for another 200 days +. I am looking forward to test out webroot.

McAfee, F-secure, KIS, and Bit defender are the resource hogging AV as far as I am concern.

The cloud based AVs or IS such as Trend Micro and Panda does not impress me either because the need of the internet to make sure that they function properly and i always use over the quota ald before even using these 2.

My advice is make a recovery CD and try out on the virtual software like the Deep Freeze or any other similar programs. I am getting tired of using the AVs.

My only next biggest concern after using those 2 that will resolve our virus concern is how to protect our personal data.

Thank you for your advise. I am not sure about Deep Freeze. I have not heard of it before. Trying out all the antivirus is definitely tiring and time consuming. I am tired of KIS and will not continue to use it when my license is expired unless they solve the resource hogging problem.

I am currently testing out the Returnil. Not sure if it is responsible for causing bluescreen or not. After a few weeks of testing, I will be posting right back here.

LOL. What is the latest version and please, my digi and P1 only 384kbps. Downloading update slow is not the main issue why i critic KIS. It is the performance.

Last time surge 10%-20%. Now it become amok, sometimes can go up to 80% or 50% surge. doh.gif

I pay RM380 for my Windows 7 Home Premium Retail version and I pay RM 100 for 3 license for the KIS.

What OS you are using? Windows XP?

tats a real great combination.
u could also try avast free too as it provide much more layer of protection compare to avira free,
n i recommend u to install malwarebytes antimalware + superantispyware too as on-demand scanner.

My advice is stay away from KIS 2011. You should try out the KAV 2011 trial version. wink.gif
