Using MCCM HD v2.0 and found that quite a lot of buggy problem
Screen of Death, sometime it just won't wake up after pressing the button (the light got light up) Laggy notification bar sometime. Battery life is not as good as MCCM Desire v3.4. Switch back to 3.4 and mb just get a new DHD This post has been edited by TongCN: Dec 10 2010, 12:03 AM |

I've tried 5 different builds so far.
Nothing beats JDMS v1.6. Smooth, fast and 4~7ma on standby. Everything is working well except for the green tint. |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Dec 10 2010, 12:02 AM) Using MCCM HD v2.0 and found that quite a lot of buggy problem mine is not problem at all...Screen of Death, sometime it just won't wake up after pressing the button (the light got light up) Laggy notification bar sometime. Battery life is not as good as MCCM Desire v3.4. Switch back to 3.4 and mb just get a new DHD using official winmo and latest updated rom from htc my advise do not use the data.img download from internet. just copy the android folder to sd card (400mb aprox) , then launch it, let the system create the new data.img for you. |

The process is called HSPL. You can refer here how to do it: ( A) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477 HSPL is the only process where you are likely to brick your phone. These are the few things you must take note: Battery at least 70% charge, SD card and Sim card must be taken out - usually bricking is due to this mistake of not heeding these 3 factors Once your unit is HSPL, you can proceed to do the Android port 1. You have a choice to keep your Windows rom or change to another . If you want to change the Windows rom - instruction is at above XDA link ( A ) 2. The port to Android instructions : ( B) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732380 I always advise all to spend time reading these links - don't jump into it. Have a understanding first. TIPS : - Make sure Radio is 2.08 and above ; how to flash radio - link ( A) : Flash radio will not delete your phone data - SD CARD : Freshly format it using this tool at http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/sdfv2000.zip I have blog my experience here : Part 1 : http://leemn.wordpress.com/2010/08/06/htc-...ly-ported-over/ Part 2 : http://leemn.wordpress.com/2010/08/09/htc-...o-sense-part-2/ Testing the htc DESIRE HD rom on the HD2 : http://leemn.wordpress.com/2010/09/27/htc-...om-my-test-run/ APN Settings for Malaysian Telcos: Thanks to EnCORe and source : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1569246 Maxis APN 1) Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Points Name 2) Menu -> New APN Name = Maxis(3G) APN = unet Username = maxis MMSC = http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc MMS proxy = 202.75.133.49 MMS port = 80 APN type = default, mms (Others, leave blank) DiGi APN 1) Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Points Name 2) Menu -> New APN Name : DiGi Internet APN: diginet MCC: 502 MNC: 16 APN Type: default (Others, blank) DIGI MMS APN: digimms username: mms password: mms Proxy: 203.092.128.160 Port: 80 MMSC: http://mms.digi.com.my/servlets/mms MMS Proxy: 203.092.128.160 MMS Port: 80 MCC: 502 MNC: 16 APN Type: mms Celcom APN 1) Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Points Name 2) Menu -> New APN Name : Celcom 3G APN : celcom3g MMSC: http://mms.celcom.net.my MMS Proxy : 10.128.1.242 MMS Port : 8080 |

Third Step, download and place your Android into the root of your sd card. Fourth Step, install dual boot and you're good to go. At least, this is how I did it. |
