Yes the SD format tool as mentioned in my post #1 ( link is there ). Format will delete all data

You can always flash your Chuckyrom again - windows rom is installed on phone memory not card. Did you previously flash your chucky rom from card ?  Backup your card contents first. After card format, you can always copy back your backup to it.

If you want to keep your windows rom and data, just backup with SpriteBackup or SdBackup and restore it after you have successfully install Android.

Unsuccessful boot is usually due to SD card issues or your Chucky rom is not compatible with it. Did you search in the forum to see whether others face similar problem using the same Chucky rom as yours ? Since you wish to use Chucky rom, why don't you try Chucky Android rom ?

By the way the Android rom you want to try is a very old rom, with no new developments. Go for the newer ones

I tried his bangsters_V1.2a CM6 FRG33 and I can't believe the flawless scrolling I'm getting. This build hands down, is better than the other 5 roms I tried. I'll see how the battery goes but I'm loving whatever I'm touching now. smile.gif

I got 2GB of ROM memory and I gave an laugh.gif .

I wonder does it really improves performance like a real 2GB internal ROM does?

I am into Bangster 1.2 two days already> Bangster allows you to customize the memory in 512 MB, 1024 MB up to 2 GB and font sizes of either 180 or 240 dpi ( just amend the parameters in startup.txt)

I'd say is so faer the best non Sense UI rom I have tested ; the only issue I noted the battery usage seems higher by about 10 % compared tpo other roms I have tested

The developer will be releasing a newer update today

I'm still looking for battery saver and smooth one, mattc froyo battery usage is ok but keep giving me hard freeze sometime even though I ady used rmnt version. Shuvcraft seems the most stable one no crash so far but battery drains drastically, I still prefer mccm1, battery usage overall ok, no freeze.

battery drain can be fixed by using the new kernel (zimage)

but power management is not done yet so it is still almost impossible to last 2 days with normal usage.

Now only see this thread hehehe... add me in the list pls.

Been experimenting with this for a few months, must say the pace of development has been awesome since Desire OTA updates were released.

WM ROM: Official 1.66 (will flash to cooked once warranty is over lol)
Radio: 2.12
Android: Bangsters V1.2

I've tried Froyostone, mattc, SuperHD2, HyperDroid, etc. Bangster's is my favorite so far. No touchscreen problems, everything working.

I just wish someone would port those Sense widgets over smile.gif

One day no problem if normal usage (calls, sms, email, 20min surfing, no games). Right now, I have about 20% left.

Based on my experrience trying out the available roms, screen freezes is common in SENSE UI roms . So far I do not not find this serious issue as once in a while only, just press key it will unfreeze within a second or two

I noted the NON-SENSE UI roms do not have such issue so far

Possibly because the Sense UI are actually added and customized on standard Google UI and the rom cooks had yet to overcome this issue on their version for HD2. If you find this issue is a big problem ( one member told me his often freeze ) I'd suggest to use non Sense. I'd recommend Bangster and Shubcraft roms

Google Maps BRUT version 16 is good ; quite similar to Mapking . Is free - google search it , quite many links to download. The BRUT version allows voice assisted navigation in Msia and Spore

Or use Pagago X5

I have tried both and I find Google maps is better as maps are updated while Papago X5 relies on its own map database
