10 mbps promotional package quota start already?

already finished the quota now 128kbps

So,can we ask the rebate due to didn't get the speed as promises???

you will never get 150Mbps on wifi-n 2.4Ghz...wifi is really subjective...if your client is 1x1 and router is transmitting at 20Mhz, you will get 65Mbps. Try getting a 2x2 or 3x3 high gain client and probably you will get the signal speed of 130Mbps/150Mbps/300Mbps. But real life performance will usually be less than 100Mbps, this is the reality of wifi regardless what AP it is.

Btw, important rule is to optimize your router's wireless. I noticed in my wireless settings during installation, that Maxis set it to channel 8, bad idea to put it in a fixed channel with high possibility of overlapping (guess Maxis tech guys doesn't understand WiFi either  ).

Anyway, once I set it to auto, it performs much better ( I expect auto means it will decide the best channel to transmit).

Then, I consider the location of my router and my clients and positioning them to achieve best result.

Try to lookup some material on this topic to understand better how you can optimize your WiFi.

maxis installer is really funny. he didnt even know that maxis got promotion for 10Mbps.While waiting the TM technician come, he call a maxis center and ask for the package and gave his address to check either his house covered or not..

maxis thomson router vs tm dir-615 both sucks. perhaps you consider alternative replacement routers...

Yum cha more than 2 hr 30 min
2 hours and 30 minutes now and still counting.. TM contractor no where to be seen. No numbers to call, no details.
1 hour still acceptable.. 2 hours 30 minutes now really

damn frutrated, installed it yesterday, n the speed has been really bad, yesterday midnite till 2 afternoon, my speed was only 1mbps -.-' the speed isnt stable, just called maxis n complaint and did some coniguration, they asked to monitor for the next 2-4 hours, any1 experiencing the same problem?

I think wat he mention is the speedtest speed but not download speed. Mine one also yesterday just installed, line seems stable until now

From what my exp, their customer services really useless, 1 point you can direct shot the CS, if they do not pass up the message and within 3 hours d person din't call you, you wan to talk direct to their higher management. Like my case, customer services keep provide wrong information, until i write the email to MCMC and cc them only problem solved.

I'm getting download speed about 1 - 1.2MB, quite satisfied about the internet speed.

where is ur acknowledgement forms?

u mean ur torrent d/l speed? i thought i reply this b4? 10 seeders + 1 uploader @ 100kb/s = 1.1mb/s (max)

haiyaaa... how want to reach 1.2mb/s if seeder x cukup? if u want to max out your connection direct download is the only way..

check your launchpad > my data usage , i still see maxis impose the 100GB there. Only 2 weeks already 50% gone, im going to call maxis CS to clarify on that why imposing the 100GB quota as its stated FREE usage for the time being!

my installation is on 8th June. Registered the launchpad on 16th June

the manual itself from asus. does not explain how you setup your isp. it was meant to help users to understand the function menu to ease their installation.

there are many setup guides in lowyat forum. most are not up to date. there are so many you can find. you have to read and understand carefully from many sources. before you conclude the right thing to do. well you have to use own judgement to do right thing. there is no universal guide for layman from A - Z due to so many various products in line.

unifi has large group of subscribers in entire m'sia. this is why asus did their r&d for marketing purposes. but you all can rant at asus in majority. they surely will do something...
