Meaning most photographer should dump their d3/d700 to get D7000 as the ISO is SIMILAR huh ?

You said before and I know who they are Nick, Han, Max and etc. They paid for it. I got to play free laugh.gif
Anyone of your friend already got 60D ? Played with it and my guess D7000 will pawn that 60D.
And my supplier just got back from Photokina. D7000 video is impressive. I will try to get that video and post up. Others than that, nothing. Asking about ISO, they ask me forget about it. Get FF better.
What are you trying to say ? blink.gif
*
Nope, don't need to dump. Aiya they so rich, what lens also can lah haha. I also get to play for free what, I don't need to pay to use LOL~

None of my friends are interested with 60D lah, all those Canon users using 5dmk2 and 1dmk4.

QUOTE(hsienming @ Sep 24 2010, 06:57 PM)
an FX sensor is always superior to a DX sensor.... in terms of noise control

Get your facts right ok!  whistling.gif

Different generation of sensors, it is tough to say. Just wait for a proper review then mention smile.gif

ouh i thought when 16-35 released, people said 14-24 was beat. so they call new trinity 16-35, 24-70 and 70-200.. hehe..
forgive me of my noobness~  sweat.gif
*
14-24 is still the king of all UWA, 16-35 comes in second.

celciuz.. why don't you get 14.24- 24-70 70-200?
*
Wah >_<, I not so loaded ok.

I like the 14-24, but no option for threaded filter. So that's why I got the 16-35 f/4 VR. Currently a bit retarded on my D90, crop sensor.

Wanted a 24-70, but 24-70 weird range on D90. So that's why going to hold on my standard zoom until I move to FX when the new bodies arrives.

I think the performance of the D7000 at ISO 6400 is pretty acceptable..decent enough..DX sensor leh..not bad wat..
*
Haha, finally someone who understands. Aiya, nobody here ever used a D7000 yet, guess best is to wait for a proper review then compare icon_rolleyes.gif .

I think I will get the sample photos / or once D7000 it's available locally, I will try it side by side. I still insist on this, DX will never par with FX.
Of course it will be better than current D90. And if anyone of you been following Nikon, every series of their DSLR will be better than previous one be it professional range or mid range.
Eg. D80 < D300 < D90/D5000 < D300s

35mm N will be launched at KL soon. Heard from NM.

Ahh this! Good, compare both units side by side let's see how both compares.

It will be idiots for me to compare side by side with FF as it's more like taking Honda vs Ferrari laugh.gif
But I will do that. Hopefully my friend won't call me retard for this laugh.gif
*
So you suggest to compare D7000 beside the D300s? lols.

QUOTE(hsienming @ Sep 24 2010, 09:18 PM)
U clearly know FX will win..... so dont waste your time let those ppl like kenrockwell or endgadget or our own celciuz do the comparison once its available at Times Square Nikon center  icon_rolleyes.gif

Added on September 24, 2010, 9:22 pmhow can a 35mm sensor loose to a 23.6mm sensor
the surface area of the sensor already bigger then it so more light can be absorb by the sensor get it? whistling.gif

Haiyo, you guys just don't seem to get it. Forget it I'm tired of explaining.

D7000 definitely will beat D300s ISO control. I have no doubt about this. I can try it out too. D300s / D3 / D700 / D7000 when it's available this Nov probably.

If you're saying D7000 ISO control will be better than D90, I have no doubt about that. And I guess hsienming will not say no to this too.
But if you're saying DX sensor beat or par with FX sensor, next life maybe ? laugh.gif

Nikon keep upgrading their sensor firmware be it on entry level or pro level. I already stated before this.

Nikon won't be that stupid to kill their own market of pro level eg D700 range just to fulfill current market. Remember this, D700 has yet to have a replacement and I did post up my thought about this (that D3100 & D7000 might be the white rat to try out the new sensor, even my supplier told me so sweat.gif but how true, no one knows). So, you think Nikon gonna come out D7000 to beat D700 ? Of course you can say the new sensor, new technology will definitely be better but do remember bigger sensor will have an advantage when under low light.

We understand what you're trying to say that D7000 ISO is usable if compare with D90 but what we both (hsienming and I) trying to say is full frame sensor will not lose to DX sensor. If not, you also won't be looking for Full Frame right ?
*
What D7000 is showing is why I'm looking at the D700/D3 replacement instead of D700/D3 at the moment laugh.gif . But it is impressive that the D7000 is coming close to the D3/D700, most online quick review I've seen are mentioning about D7000's ISO that way. But frankly, I don't have hands on the D7000, so nothing much I can justify.

In my books, D3s is just an upgrade over the D3.

D3s would be replaced by D4 when the new FX sensor is out anyways.

Sure, the D3s is an upgrade over the D3 of course the newer will take over the throne. sweat.gif It is not something like D2 to D3.

i think you have to start using an FX camera. then you will realise what's the difference between an FX and a DX.
apart from photo quality, the usage of the camera and lenses are different too...

no matter how good the D7000 is going to be, it won't be coming close (whatever that term means) to a D3/D700.

use 50mm f1.4 AF-S on both camera and you will have different point of view. different depth of field. and different type of photographs. different language of photography. different idea. different concept. different outcome.

sweat.gif I'm just comparing the ISO performance la sweat.gif

I've used the D700/D3/D3s and probably won't own any of them wink.gif .

Haha, the same thing I've been doing before this. But seldom use since always on single point ever since I started using faster lens like 50mm f/1.8D.

lol, in doubt to choose after seeing celcius praising the D7000 ISO performance so hard , but still wait for D7000 official price to be announced

Since D7000 is just around the corner to come to Msia shores, no harm waiting for it to arrive then decide.

Regarding the low batt on MB-D80, I had this problem too. I found a 'solution' was to put a piece of cardboard in between the grip and body. So far didn't get such problem. Actually due to contact issue.

Yeah, I used TTL for that above photo, 1 unit from the side at 0EV, one direct at the hair at -1EV. Group A and Group B.

You can trigger as much flash as you want. But with D90, only 2 channels. SB900 as commander got 3 channels, and if using a SU800 got 4 channels.
