Nevermind. There are people selling mini usb to mini usb cable but no mini usb to normal usb.
I guess since OTG isn't a common function it's hard to find the cable.

QUOTE(chicaman @ Sep 27 2010, 01:10 AM) macro and details of pictures are hardware based and they are due to the photons impinged on the sensor. Symbian became open source not long ago.Give it some time & some people might try to mod it's kernel. But since symbian isn't exactly derived from linux maybe there are very limited people with knowledge to mod it.on the other hand HDR is a smart way of coding a software by combining 2 or more different exposure pictures and averaging it thus allowing the foreground and background to be seen clearly. I believe this can be done or implemented on symbian through coding. However if some of Fcam features can be coded as thirdparty apps for symbian as well. So far I have not seen any kernel mod for symbian~ Maemo already taken over all the nerds. QUOTE(RViN @ Sep 27 2010, 01:13 AM) Even when you look at Windows Phone 7 you realise how far ahead Meamo is in terms of a mobile platform. One look at Windows Phone 7's "desktop" and you already know that it's full with nonsense stuff.Apple & Google made iOS & Android's desktop simpler but Microsoft made in much campier. |

Download Apmefo with fapman/App Managerjust got my n900 last saturday and it has been a very pleasing experience so far. still so much to explore and its like i dont really need my laptop to bring to anywhere now. this set literally replace the needs of having a notebook lol. anyway do u know how to reorganize all the apps inside it? everything that has preinstalled or installed by me is kinda cramped into 1 big page, previous nokia has this option to copy/move the apps and paste it to wherever we want to. cant seems to find a way to do it now though This is my menu ![]() This post has been edited by super_evil_alien: Sep 27 2010, 12:37 PM |

QUOTE(hengguowei @ Sep 27 2010, 03:47 PM) Aspire...you still haven't added me to the list on 1st page I've yet to hear a hardware wise bricked N900 case caused by NITDroid. Some supernoobs messed up their installation & had to reflash.Thats the worse case I heard so far.Added on September 27, 2010, 3:48 pmbtw...is it safe to install Nitdroid now?... I'm wondering if it might brick the phone since it's still in Extras-Devel? Majority of the apps in Extras-Devel might cause software problem sometime.Seldom hardware problem. 45 minutes of tireless search for new headphone & the best looking option right now is Nokia BH-505 for RM200 |

New update about pre-alpha OTG
I think it's possible to use our default nokia usb cable(CA-101) connected with a female to female usb connector in order to use OTG. Basic requirement to use OTG is Micro-AB type of USB cable(B refers to female connector which the cable connecting to phone in CA-101 cable & A is the female connector which you can buy from any pasar malam). From what I have researched miniB & miniAB pretty much have the same basic structures. ![]() This is the female to female usb connector. So anyone with guts go ahead buy the connector & try out the OTG. I have to wait till Saturday to mess with this because my exam last paper is on friday |

QUOTE(hengguowei @ Sep 27 2010, 04:24 PM) Ask Aspire...he's doing bulk for BH-505 Asked already.Bulk is back on.Hopefully goes well.So...if I'm pretty much a noob, do you think I should install Nitdroid so I can play some good Android games? Only reason why installed NITDroid was for the games only So do chicaman. If you want to play games with proper graphics like iOS games,I suggest you to go ahead and install NITDroid. The games amount might be less than iOS but still more than Maemo. Minor amount of games might not fully working because of incomplete hardware coding. QUOTE(hengguowei @ Sep 27 2010, 05:59 PM) Follow this method 1st.http://wiki.nitdroid.com/index.php?title=N900-AutoinstallerIf you have any problem reply here. P/S:If dj_steve haven't updated the auto installer there is good chance you will get stuck at formatting ext3. Solution here QUOTE To be able to install the "sudo gainroot" command you need to install a package called rootsh from the application manager first! 1. Open up the xTerm and become root with this command: sudo gainroot 2. First un mount the microsd card umount /dev/mmcblk1p1 3. For this step you need to know the capacity of your memory card. The Android partition can only be 2GB, so you need to create a FAT partition that is so large there will only be 2GB left. The number must be in MB, example some recommended sizes are 1, 100, 2100, 6100, 14100, 30100. If its 8GB you can choose a number like 6100MB, if its 4GB you can choose a number like 2100MB. If your memory card is 2GB or below, you can choose 1MB as a number If you do not do this correctly you will not be able to use Android Market! sfdisk -uM /dev/mmcblk1 << EOF ,<YOUR NUMBER IN MB>,C ,,L ,, ,, EOF 4. Unmount microsd again as maemo sometimes tried to mount umount /dev/mmcblk1p1 5. The actual formating! mkdosfs /dev/mmcblk1p1 mke2fs -L NITDroid -j -m0 /dev/mmcblk1p2 The bolded part are the parts you need type in X-Terminal before proceeding again with auto installer. If you have too much of issues, drop me a pm.I'll sort it out tomorrow.Still studying for my test tomorrow.
