good enough though .
can try tighten the ram timing or move to 4.2ghz

and do more stress testing .
100 run linX or 12 hours prime ^^,

dude, its logical since ur using air cooler and that cm v6gt is not that good

us WC users also experience up to 80C ++ during load for 4.2 - 4.4 ghz .

its not gonna degrade
its gonna die soon >.<"

btw, safe temp would be below 100C .
it dont matter much, if it reaches the threshold, it'll restart the PC .
so no biggie tongue.gif

then u better go for 4.2 and gain more on the ram man
4.0 is more than enough for nowadays apps .
above that is just benchmark wise >.<"

i got bad chip .
havent really test them out yet .
just got my GC back from RMA yesterday and now im in kelantan .
still no time to do so bro .
but now im at 1.35v for 4.2ghz iinm .

try 4ghz only cause hyper212+ would not be able to hold much .
maybe 3.8 would be enough
voltage wise, try to stay below 1.25v
ram doesnt matter that much but the problem is IMC, is it strong enough to handle around 4000 mhz uncore

btw, it'll be darn hot for the mosfet .
1 of the reason i went for full mobo waterblock is to encounter this problem for 2k ram onwards

with ur spec, just try to OC mildly .
dont expect it to be super high ok .
^^,

should be good enough
although, 4.0 is more than good enough
above that is negligible already ^^,

spend whichever u prefer man
sooner or later they'll be obsolete as well
sandy will be replaced as well .

just be grateful with what u have and enjoy it to the max ^^,

P/S: words from someone wif no money to play other platform :'(

trying is ur fren
but please be reminded that after 4.2, the voltage scaling raise like crap
even me, im only using 4.2ghz cause 4.4 will make my room like sauna and temp reach 90 linX >.<"

4.2 is good enough already bro
play around wif ur ram instead .
oh and btw, picture nnt2 laa ye tongue.gif malas nak amek
haha

not exactly .
i got bad chip .
im using quad rad 120mm and i only cool proc + mobo
it could reach around 85C linX for my current OC .
only 4.2ghz T_T

im running 4.2 HT off 2k cl8 ram

vCore 1.375
vDimm 1.65
vTT 1.45

200x21

i dun really have time for fine tune .
but i know i have bad chip cause require darn high vtt for 4k uncore >.<"

in any case, i7 9XX shud be able to do 4.2 ghz in any circumstances iinm .

this is d best i could get so far .
no time for fine tuning cause bz with final year project >.<"

he's on r3e as well .
for VTT its QPI/DRAM or something like that
vDimm is ram voltage .

i can go 4.4 but i dunno how much vCore i need to push
even now requires a lot edi .
my room feels like sauna >.<"

adding waterblock for r3e really increases the temp like hell !
no choice but to maintain at 4.2 >.<"

last time i tried to push up to 1.5v on my i7 but nvr tried 24/7 setup
last time dun have full mobo waterblock .
even at 1.5v my temp would only reach 87C lidat .

now with full mobo block, got xtra 3 components cooled down .
mosfet, NB, SB .
even at 1.35v, its reaching 83C on linX .

quad rad .
HWlab black ice xtreme GTX480

i managed to run 2k and uncore 4k .

but the problem is my proc .
IMC not good . not strong enough .

require 1.45vtt 1.375vCore .

very high man .
that's y im having high temp .
mostly i can think of is bcos of the MOSFET producing lotsa heat from the 1.45v .

not really sure but what's for sure is that the uncore must be double the frequency of ram .

im running at 1.65 .
so far no problem although its not really recommended iinm .
its hot actually >.<"
try to have active cooling on it .

its up to u actually .
if u know how it would scale, then its a good idea to start from bottom up .

i normally put at the loosen timing + 1.65v + 1.45v vtt

well technically, u need to increase the uncore freq to at least double the ram freq

if u want to clock d ram, u must also increase uncore which means increment in qpi/vtt voltage .
