Sometimes it's better to stay at lower leagues a while, be prepared to be demoralized once you're in the higher leagues. ph34r.gif

Look at lots of replays and try not to copy 100%,.. make ur own touch to it... Find build it during custom games...

Learn the counter units and macro hard...!! Use to be in bronze now plat...

Check their match history.
They probably lost a lot of games until the internal matcher thinks that they are even match with a bronze.

Ah that's not what I meant. tongue.gif
You see their match history to see if the previous few games they were on a loss streak or not. The loss streak is the one that usually puts them down to fight with bronze players and still call it an even match. smile.gif

Added on October 1, 2010, 3:57 pmIt is because it happened to me before.
Playing too many custom games and later go back to 1v1, people have upgraded their skills.
Had quite a bad loss streak of 10 games one shot.
After that, I met bronze or silver players for the match up and they were called even match. tongue.gif
I was expecting them to be gold.

maybe you can help me settle my curiosity.

take my case for example.

i have not even 10 games. this morning played my 8th and 9th game.

after 8th game i was rank #45 (victory). 9th game also I won, come out check my opponent profile to see..........

Platinum league, 1 vs 1 Rank #13 (maybe rank drop after lost to me) with 645 games and 329 wins!!

WTH - that felt good! match starting that time he was labeled as FAVORED but i am wondering why #45 Bronze player was matched to vs a top 15 Platinum player, which is 3 leagues apart!

i look at his match history, it's a balance of Win and Loss. http://sea.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/18952...hes#filter=solo

what do you think?

or is it my victory streak that B.net decided to match me vs higher rank player?

its based on a hidden match-making rating (MMR) to determined who is favoured and not according to ur league/ rank...

the most important thing is your skill lo. not your wlr . u can play and win first 5 games and stop . then u got 100% wlr. but what for . ?? the games mean play with fun not mean to be stress .
