Hellow~ Not trying to be a cheesy thread, but I don't see that many female SC2 players out there?
I'm sure there are plenty, but you ladies going to show your face?  Don't think female gamers are so rare nowadays, but once I played 3v3 with random people over Bnet, I said hi to everyone, and someone asked if I was a girl (Cuz my username is so obvious) I replied yes, and he was like "HI!!!  "Lol... I thought these doesn't happen so much nowadays... |

You teach them the build, they can just follow it to the dot... Before you know it, they build even faster than you. Works great when playing against AI. Paiseh end up girl defend and win the game instead... I need to find a hole to hide... |

IMO females are less interested on RTS games compared to other genre. I know plenty of female gamers in rhythm/MMORPG games than RTS.
My female friends always ask me what's the point of replaying the same thing from scratch every single game (RTS). I could only smile and said I'm a boring person =D |

Most probably will lose a lot but sooner or later you'll notice that the pattern is almost the same each time and once you find your winning pattern with your bf, you'll both easily clear the bronze league. Don't worry about losing as in bronze league, at most you lose is like less than 5 points. But when you win, you'll get 20 points and above, plus your bonus pool that's like 40 over points each win. So even if you lost a lot, it's still worth it. Just that your win lose ratio not so nice de. Haha. Can enlighten me how to attract my wife to play SC2? she is pro dota (pawn me always) facepalm.... and have a clan last time with some kids.
Now she is busy with her study but still occasionally play dota to relax (killin rage is her thing) Last time i teach her play, more like force but when i tried explain RTS she dont like the idea gg is winning, she just take it as leaver like in dota which she gets a lot and hate it. All this brain whacking thinking, watching replay and learning counters seems a hassle. any idea how to lure her in? if she is in i can play longer without the need to go shopping  |

I guess gamer girls mix around with girls who do the same things too, I have quite a lot of female friends who play games, but not all of them play SC2, unfortunately. Then there are also these modern terms where people are called "Starcraft Otaku" or "Manga Otaku" or "Jdorama Otaku" for those who are into a certain activity, these are the times when the 'Otaku' label is getting less negative than it was previously.
However the mainstream Japanese mainly call those people "Starcraft maniac" or "Jdorama maniac" instead of Otaku, as the word "Otaku" still has quite a negative portrayal from the olden days. I'm not really a "Starcraft Maniac" yet, more like a "Japanese culture maniac"... |

What I realise is most of the time when a girl is into Japan, Anime, Manga, Gaming, Figures... their bfs are usually that way... I think some guys find it hard if their girlfriends are partly "otaku"-like. Not for girls though. They probably find it ok if the guy loves gaming and stuff....
