As topic.

Besides that? Do you give specific instructions to the stylist or just let them experiment on you?

Please discuss.

every hairstylist i go to don rely follow my instructions.. they end up cutting more than the parts i ask them to cut, end up i'll have super short hair.

arghhhh.

they always go "i trim this abit for u ar.. just abit only" end up cut almost all. T_T

Best place to get a haircut I can guarantee it is this place called Rizz in Sungei Wang.

RM 50 for a sit down and cut, practically 90 minutes minimum for whatever hair cut you want. He sits you down, washes and cuts wet. Then washes again, cuts again. Blow dries, and does a final touch up.

Layering is done meticulously and mostly with regular scissors, tending to small batches of hair at a time (no newbie layering scissors crap!).

Best haircut you can ever get, I assure you. His name is Danny

Always @Peek-A-Boo Saloon @ Taman Tun Dr Ismail..

my usual stylist is - Mika.. !

she's quite bz.. but her styling is quite good!

was referred by a friend of mine! after seeing his haircut always looks good!

stylish but not too much!

only RM50 for wash and cut..

For gurl who fancy coloring or doing all sorts of fancy thing to their hair.. you can try this place.. ! I always saw them creating quite an oustanding hair-do for models.. for fashion show.. smile.gif

always saloon, never go barber after primary school.

anyway normal saloon doesnt means it sucks.. been to a lot famous saloon such as acutabove, shunji matsuo, kimarie, monsoon-id and a few more which charge superb for professional/director cut yet one of the normal saloon nearby my house actually works the best for me.. too bad the stylist left already. it's more like choosing a right stylist more than choosing the right place.

I get my hair cut by Aki from EP (Eiji Project) which is at Northpoint Midvalley. He is Japanese so he knows what suits Asian men. You won't turn out looking like a stereotypical Japanese or Ah Beng. Just let him know what type of look you are trying to achieve. Costs a bomb though. Around the RM100 mark. Hair coloring also costs a bomb but very worth it to do there because the colour stays on for a very long time. I personally have tried 6 months (let my hair go long) with dye colour still intact without any signs of fading.

To answer TS' question though, I don't like getting too specific because I prefer to trust the stylist's instinct (provided he/she is good). Instead I specify a type of look. Like say I want "trendy but professional" or "serious and mature" or "young and trendy" or I give situations like "I'm meeting business clients from a creative company"or I give examples of people's styles I want to emulate like "I want to look like Wolverine in the Xmen movie...rugged and wild"... you get the picture..

actually it's up to individual to go to a salon or a barber shop

for me, my face is quite big so i'm not suitable to cut very short hairstyles.. so i don't really like to go to the barber as they like to cut so short doh.gif
so i always go to salon.. everytime i try new ones i ask them what short hairstyle suitable for me.. so i'm willing to try any hairstyles they recommend.. (i only go for a hair cut once every 3-5 months laugh.gif)

For me...
Thomas & Guys - Senior Cut - cut kinda short and i don't like it as it appeals my big face
X-Cut - RM15 - a little short but once it grow longer my hair looks nicer.. but once it gets real long not nice d..
Apt - RM30 - Pro Cut - cut just nice & very friendly.. err.. i just like the front part of my hair biggrin.gif

This is just my personal opinions abt these salons.. so don't say i'm bias or anything k? Cheers~

i went quite alot saloons before...

Penang Pragin Mall--Hair Perfect (Senior.)
Pros: Nice Hair Saloon Name
Cons: dint follow my instructions, i almost wanna fight with her,she cut really shorter than I expected.
Spend: cut,wash,RM38

Sungei Wang Plaza KL-- Trio Hair Saloon
Pros: the pro is good!!, Hong , friendly enough, his hair kinda cool!!
skills and touch-up, i'm very very statisfy, two thumbs up for him!!
Cons: (no..)
Spend: cut,wash,RM45

Aeon Bukit Tinggi Klang--Monsoon ID
Pro: as you know monsoon is a good name, quite cool
Cons: Those senior are really SUCKS!! similar with the Hair Perfect in Pragin Mall
Spend: cut,wash RM25

Antico Damansara
Pros: One price of cut, no divide of Pro & Senior, hair color is great, match my looks, using Loreal!! I like it....
Cons: cant go there by public transport, had to drive there.
Spend: cut&wash--RM25,dye--RM90(student price..i'm so lucky), Total is RM125

i'm going to have a hair cut soon, due to the Pragin Mall incident, my hair is damn short, so I plan to cut Haux Hawk style (David Beckham style)...or maybe Edison Chen style, so anyone could do some recommendation?!

thx

That's cut only, no wash right? I'm trying to find a good saloon to get hair cut near SJ SS15, or easily reachable by public transport such as MidValley. Tried ACA junior cut once, sucked as hell. Had to have the senior come help. Tried Snips senior cut, was alright. Then there's one called Spazio at SS15, was alright too. Trying to find a good one :-\ Bloody expensive compared to Miri's price laugh.gif sweat.gif

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a good hair stylist for guys. Need a cut for CNY~! smile.gif

Any recommendations on good stylists? Preferably in KL shopping centers, as I'll be going there to shop for new cloths too.
Someone told me about A Cut Above? Any good stylists there? Or any other place you'd recommend?

Thanks~

Not all good hair shop has good stylist. only some of them i guess.
good one will even touch up those baby hairs that sprawl around the surface of your hair .
not many of them knew how to shave the M look of the forehead. the M shape gives your fore face more brighter n stand up .

I once cut my own hair, because only myself know what i really want. Using gillette fusion, LOL. The outcome, my friends said, i just trim it, doesnt look like being cut.

my usual one is Kota Raya Level 1... Carita, look for boss called Helen, Vidal Sasoon stylist, i think so far she's the best for me... (i'm regular so cheaper than usual, less than RM30)... more to modern, Japanese styles

i've tried
1. Thomas & Guy's Subang Parade --> Sucks (RM25)
2. RM12-15 instant cut --> Sucks as well

the new one i tried last weekend is Centro, Gardens Level 4/5 i think... ask for the boss called Kevin... most expensive haircut i ever had because the boss is the winner of Loreal color competition for don't know how many years... RM70... also quite good, neat, more gentlemen look smile.gif

I've been to Monsoon ID 1U few times, and that salon was my first (and only till now) hair salon experience.

I don't have a preferred hair stylist as I don't go there very often (like once in two months or so), furthermore, usually when I go there, the hair stylist from my previous haircut would be either not there (on leave) or transferred to other branches (due to the opening of more Monsoon ID outlets).
So I don't really have like a frequent stylist whom I go to.

Nevertheless, I had good experiences based on the times I went there.

The stylists were okay, managed to create the look I described. Usually I don't have any design or hair style I want, I just let them know roughly what I want or don't want; e.g. want to keep my fringe, don't want to keep long side burn, want to have shorter length and etc.
Then if for instance, if a too short fringe would look weird on the current hair style, the stylist would advise me not to shorten the fringe too much and say to keep a certain length.
I would say most of the times the stylists listened to my wants and needs well.
That again, depends on the hair stylist you get as different people have different etiquette and working style. And I have only worked with like 3 stylists before only laugh.gif

As for other services like shampoo'ing the hair, I didn't really face much problem here; as most would have enough experience to shampoo the clients' hair properly.
However, there was this once with a new shampoo boy, he was a bit rough and accidentally lightly scratched my forehead lol doh.gif

The stylist also offer to style your hair after the hair cut, they used Sebastian Xtah Crude Clay if I'm not mistaken thumbup.gif
If you're not satisfy with the cut, can just ask them to try to fix it. Then again, you might risk worsening the cut lol; as generally, you and your hair stylist might have VERY DIFFERENT views on what looks best on you.

The down side is the price. I think the price has increased after new year.
It used to be about RM33 for a hair cut + wash; but I just went there a couple weeks ago and got charged about RM40. They said it's a new pricing for new year.
So you might want to wait until they have promotion lol laugh.gif sweat.gif

In my opinion, usually most hair stylist (stylists from other salons as well) will be able to deliver the desired end results; it's just that we as the customer/consumer have to give enough explanations about what we want.
If clear instructions are given, the results won't sway too far from our description or too terrible. It's only too terrible or horrendous when no clear description and instruction are given; or when we allow the stylist to "terrorize" our hair without stopping them; or when the customer and stylist cannot communicate at all sweat.gif

Hmm, I think if a salon uses a certain product (say shampoo, styling products, etc.) chances are the product will be available for sale through them.

I think the last time I went to Monsoon ID my stylist did asked me if I need to purchase any styling product or not; but I don't style my hair so I couldn't be bothered laugh.gif
So I'm guessing the clay can be bought from them, I have no idea about the price they're selling though.

On the other hand, you can try getting the Sebastian clay from K Care Shop.
Based on the prices listed in their website:
50g - RM 48.00
125g - RM 90.00
I am unsure if these prices are reasonable or not though hmm.gif

You can try checking their 'Store Locator' to see if there's any of their outlets near your area. Then you can personally visit the salon to check it out biggrin.gif

Here is the website:
*CLICK*

p/s: I am not affiliated with the K Care Shop and I actually have no experience buying anything from them; it's just that I so happened stumbled upon the shop's name when I was researching about the availability of the clay in local markets.

I like to go to this salon near my house for a haircut. They charge me RM13 and i just ask them to cut as they please, but it must be short. Because my hair grows quite quickly every month. But this week have to go because hair is like tarzan liao. I think would charge me RM15 liao. hehe

RM 50, Rizz Salon Sg. Wang.

Ask for Danny. 03-21481596.

So far, nothing has come close to the type of meticulous attention to detail that he's given me. Not even the expensive stylists in UK.

Yes, if the day has no booking, he wouldn't come in. So book before you go, ask for Danny.

No extra charge, at least for me because I have been a regular with him.

Rizz is nearby Esquire Kitchen.

If you need to drop names, my name is Khor. Studying in the UK. He should know.

You go there first, then you go around. This guy doesn't use layering scissors to do the base layering.

I usually keep my hair long and have it cut short when I get home.

So 9 months of hair growth. This year is different though. I've had lousy cuts at 6 pounds which is the most ridiculous thing ever. Better places can go up to 27 pounds to 30 pounds.

*
I bought my Sabastian at around RM 50 (or RM 55?) for the 50g one, therefore the price of RM 48 is incredibly reasonable! The 50g one can last at least one year and if you don't style everyday it can last longer.

If u want to have ur hair cut by local stylist then can choose the Rm65 or Rm75..Japanese hairstylist more expensive le but their quality should be much better.

I have tried alot of saloons which ranges from the price of RM 10 - RM 70
Tried each of them at least 3 times

That was until i found a little modest hair saloon in the Store Sri Petaling.
They charge RM18 and is run by 2 girls and a guy.

I never bothered going anywhere else.
Always satisfied after every cut.

Went Eiji Project @ Mid Valley. RM139 for Aki (Salon Director).

100% for service!

He explains through my length and thickness of my hair. And at last he teaches me how to style my hair and which wax to use. Told me which part of my hair should show more volume and which should be flat tight.

100% satisfaction for me.

Would definitely go again. The way he cut my hair differs from those stylist from those common salons in GK or wangsa Maju.

Firstly he cut my hair after shampoo while my hair is wet(he also spray my hair with more moist when some area is drying up), usually most other salons will only cut my hair after its blow-dried.

Secondly, he sent me to shampoo again and this time he blow dry my hair first then only he continues with the finishing cut.

This is a totally different experience compared to other salons. Highly recommended if you're willing to pay the price though biggrin.gif

there is a shop in Ipoh, kinda like training centre for hairstylists, which provide hair cutting and washing by junior for RM 4.

sometimes the junior will wash your hair first, sometimes will massage your head and definately will wash your hair after cut.

nice and worthty service for RM 4.

cutting hair is not only about selecting a stylist but one must be able to differentiate or name the style of the hair..

latest cut for businessmen are armani style or butch cut.. google it.

Sometimes go saloon, sometimes go barber. Depending on my wallet. biggrin.gif
But I really like my hometown barber. Gives you a nice shoulder massage after the haircut.

i notice many malaysian don't read about hair cut, they just let the hair designer decide.
maybe one or two websites could help us to know what cuts are available. some faces are round, some have protrude jaws, oval head etc...

Hi..u may bring that photo in a magazine or just describe to the hairstylist. they read a lot of magazines so they should know what you mean.

Else, just browse their magazine. I am sure they have lots of magazines in their salon. Or you can ask for their opinion for the hairstyle which suits ur face and style.

Do visit our salon. Our hairstylist is good at cutting guy's hair.
It's at Semenyih.
Only RM12 for male's haircut.
Click at our link below. =)

Your hair will be cut by the student. Of coz there is a teacher monitoring them.

Wanna go do some straight perm + cut + treatment.

I usually go to Snips Salon which located at Sg. Wang. It cost me a fortune but I like Alice who cut my hair. She knows how to make my hair more nicer.

Anyone have good intro on other hair salon that better than Snips?

Kimarie @ Sg Wang. I think cheapest cut is RM15

The street near Wangsa Maju LRT. My friends call it 'salon street' coz got salon all along the road. I think salons there a lot cheaper than most places.

Btw, just to clear the confusion, its 'SALON' not 'SALOON'. Saloon is the wild west bar in cowboy movies

I have curly hair when it grows long, so is it better than i straighten it up or cut it short?

I'm bored of having short hair.

After a month or two your hair gonna grow long again anyway, why spend so much..

As topic.

Besides that? Do you give specific instructions to the stylist or just let them experiment on you?

Please discuss.

I'm half chinese half indian. My hair is wavy, so most chinese guys hairstyles dont work for me.
I was thinking of getting cornrows. But not entirely confident, as it might cost quite alot to get it done, and I am not sure if I'll like the result.
My skin color isnt dark as indians nor light as chinese...I kinda look very much like a malay ( hazards of mixing blood - you end up a totally different race ).

Anyways... I would like to request photos of you guys who have had cornrows/braids before so I can evaluate if I really want it done.
Pictures of partial cornrows / loose cornrows / mixed cornrows all accepted.

Thank you! tongue.gif

Hey all, can anyone recommend me some good hairstyle for "stubborn and super straight" hair type? Been 19 years having this hairstyle, looking to change. The hair stylist always say my hair is super stubborn and they joke around saying they will charge me double cause a lot hardwork to cut it blink.gif

Any pic to recommend?

I have the same problem as you do. It's a bit wavy at the end. Clearly seen when I keep my hair long. It's not very easy to find a hairstyle that suits my hair, especially because I really like those kind of Asian hairstyle that requires long straight hair and bangs. Never mind...just have to do with what I've got.. cool2.gif

malaysian weather and other country weather are different, so don't lah want to follow other countriy hairstyles like japan or korea men did.

keeping it long is not suitable here, have it short will do due to the dust, humidity and heat .
faux hawk or butch cut will be great for malaysia.

i see alot of people just dumb enough to keep long hair. stink , oily and lots of dandruff... stupid malaysian.

Yes....stupid Malaysians indeed shakehead.gif .
Some people just prefer having longish hair , its all a matter of preferences and each person wants . Not everyone cares about practicality some people just want to look good and thats fine . If you prefer having short hair since its more practical and easier for you then hey all the power to you , just keep in mind that not everyone has the same opinion as you and personally you would be ill advised to degrade others based on this.

good one will even touch up those baby hairs that sprawl around the surface of your hair .
not many of them knew how to shave the M look of the forehead. the M shape gives your fore face more brighter n stand up .

Hey guys, any recommendation for a good hair cut for guys near area like Mid Valley Mall? I'm studying in a university near there and am thinking of going for a hair cut which is nice (not lala type, but something decent) and affordable like RM10 to RM25. Preferrably those who knows exactly what you want.

My stylist, Lean, formerly from Peek-A-Boo!, 012-3395428. Now left for another salon but I haven't gone to see him since he left. Speaks and understands English well, and understands exactly what I mean when I describe something. Very good job. His new salon address:

THE MUSE HAIR & MAKE UP SALON
Neo Damansara, Jalan PJU 8/1,
Bandar Damansara Perdana, 47820 PJ.

My brother jus went to Monsoon ID at Tropicana today. He came back looking like #$%&. Like some ah beng. Then he was saying the stylist that cut his hair was too cocky. dono jimmy what his name. some young kid who jumped the ranks too fast. thats why today so action. cant speak english well also. Styling became "stau-ling". he doesnt treat customer with respect also. Maybe he choose ppl. My brother like small kid so he treat disrespectfully. LOL. so my advice is, don go there for a cut unless u drive a wira-lution or some loud exhaust modified proton ah beng. Kesian my brother. Pay 50bucks for a wira-lution "stau-ling". Hahaha..

i ususally cut my hair at times square, that speed haircut something. pretty good actually. i usually likes my hair short, so i went there. and since i dont like being in a saloon too long, that's why i choose that one. really cheap actually, RM13.

you'll need to go to a semi high end stylist (like monsoon for example) and tell them to recommend you a style or highlight this problem. They will know what to do.

I dont think APT is good.
My friend went for a haircut cost them around RM30 or more but ends up looking very bad.
My personal hairstylist only charge me RM10 and he's really professional. The reason he charged me RM10 is because he's working at his own home.
If you really wanna get a good haircut with RM30, I think you need to go look around, but APT is really a bad choice. Sunway Pyramid APT is a nono. Lol

Yes, I do agree APT is not good. Definitely a no-no @ Pyramid's APT. My friend went there for 3times to cut the same style that he wanted, and he never did.

I usually go to A CutAbove. Pro RM70.

If you're in The Curve, go Hairkunst! (03-7710 5585) Ask for Jojo. She's patient in explaining all the different hairstyles that suit you. She even ask what kind of hairstyle you want, and will try to cut to suit your face.

And if you really can afford it, go for Bambang. He has like 7 years experience in Germany or something.

But yeah, call before you go. They usually are packed to the max. Heard there's many celebrities that go there. They have a website too. So search for it on Google.

Personally i went to APT Pyramid and its not that bad . I got haircut thats nicely layered and imo is pretty nice smile.gif . Can say it looks a bit like my avatar except without the long arching down fringe.
Before that i went to GDO Subang parade and THAT in my opinion was a waste of time and money . Asked them to cut a style ended up the guy just thin down your hair a bit and then my $50 fly to heaven.

Which one do you mean?? Cuz there's alot of 15minute cuts around..

I tried X-Cut(from A Cut Above) today, its RM16, 15 minute cut..
Anyway 15 minute or not is not important, what's important is they know how to cut nais hairstyle...

Well I can't really judge X-Cut that I went today cuz before this I never really cut in a salon before, I used to cut and style it myself or at the barber. I think X-Cut is definately better than those RM8 barber but its definately not the best(they are not pro enough to cut the hair that suit ur face shape and looks), my rating for it is 6/10...

Other 15minute cut are about the same rating I guess...

time counts... if you say not important. If they cut ur hair till very sucky, then u'll regret. must not rush . Hair salon is different. they take their sweet time to perfect it. so , why dont you try to go a hair salon. RM 30 budget is normal. Spend abit more. get a nice hair cut. Just dont go APT sunway. you can try Thomas & Guy.

Give us your location , we may help you. it is easier. You don't want to travel far right. If you give your location , I can ask my friends to scout around , as they are drop outs . They wouldnt mind at all.

Ellewaikay: Try Hairkunst @ The Curve if you dont mind paying RM50-80 for a haircut. They style for Malaysian celebrities, so most prob you can get the hair like you wanted. Further details visit www.hairkunst.com.my

Added on November 6, 2009, 3:55 pmkazuya90 : You can try Hairkunst. I'm not working or promoting them. Just that I feel VERY IMPRESSED with their cut. I never admired my hair so much. Haha. And it's even better than A Cut Above!

Hi, I'm looking for a good hairstylist also.

The problem is I'm an old fashioned guy and I prefer traditional type of hairstyles. Quite frankly I find the male hairstyles these days quite ridiculous. I want to look nice but I don't want to come out looking like a woman.

In other words I don't want something like this:

user posted image

And all those other hairstyles with a long ass fringe covering half the face with freaking thick side burns. I'm sorry, but they look ridiculous.
What I want is something like this:
user posted image

Short, clean and neat.
Unfortunately all these professional salons are only good at a fixed number of styles. I actually brought that exact pic to APT Sunway and they managed to f*** it up. I wish I had read the reviews about APT in this thread before I went.

Any better recommendations?

same problem here. my hairstylist of 3 years went MIA and i've been trying new places ever since and none of them can cut my hair the way i want. THEY ALL TURN MY HAIR INTO ASIAN/JAP/AH BENG HAIRSTYLE which freaking pisses me off. i want neat business looking kinda hairstyle because i meet alot of people, and so far all the places i've tried have dissapoint. seems like no one in malaysia knows how to cut like that anymore.

Why people mentality can't change? only short and clean hairstyle is considered "professional" and "smart" and "business looking"??
while longer hair only suitable in the fashion and sales department??

Guys, how do I get a fringe like zac efron's ?
My fringe is long enough as it can reach the eye, but the thing is I cant get that nice wave. Mine is like not natural and doesn't look nice.

What should I do?

Was intending to get a haircut soon, want to ask if any one knows a good place, thats rm30-80 and does not give the Lala style haircut.
Ive paid rm30-80 (a haircut) and they all end up the same, shit, shit and 3 months later, decent cuz im just a ball of hair
So please do recommend the saloons u think are awesome in KL and pricing if you may.
Thanks!

RM 50, Rizz Salon Sg. Wang.

Ask for Danny. 03-21481596.

So far, nothing has come close to the type of meticulous attention to detail that he's given me. Not even the expensive stylists in UK.
*
Yea, you are right!

I went to Rizz's for a hair cut last week. Danny was impressive. It took me exactly 2 hours for a hair cut+ wash. He's different from other stylists I have tried. (Yen from Wenawave, TS is quite creative if you want a different hair style every few months).

Danny took his own sweet time in cutting and adding more textures to my hair, yea he's very meticulous. ( I went to Rizz's at 6pm and came out at 8pm, late for my high school friends gathering xD)

I was charged at rm55.

PS* If you want to ask for recommendation, ask for stylist's name instead of saloon. Not all good saloons have good stylists. Otherwise, you end up regretting and putting the blame on your friend.

Hey guys !

Just found this section , finally can ask people where to get a good haircut smile.gif tongue.gif

Been going to the indian barber for all my 18 years , so i think its time i get a good hair stylist to do my hair

but i'm unsure where will be a good place , as i myself dunno what kind of hairstyle i want , but i roughly want something short not long..

any recommendations of semi-short hairstyles?my hair is not curly btw.

and where should i go to have my haircut?

price range?

Thanks

i agree with kairi after reading all pages I have yet to determine which salon is good.

I've been stuck with the same hairstyle for a few years and im trying to change it. Can I get suggestions and names? Preferably maybe if anyone knows any good Salons in 1 Utama,Curve? And also the name of the stylists and price range.

I've heard that Monsoon Id in 1 Utama has a very good reputation because participants in Project Superstar, I wanna be a model and 8 style go there for makeovers. I haven't tried it out myself and therefore have no idea on any good stylists there. If you're looking forward to try that, give us an update as I'm going to try it myself sooner or later before CNY. icon_rolleyes.gif

try using clay, it adds alot of volume to your hair and is the perfect tool to style messy-hair. as long as your hair is not thin it should be quite easy.

for flaky scalp go for anti dandruft shampoo. or if u want something stronger, get nizoral shampoo, you can get it at the counter of guardian.

the hair you have right now quite suit your face. if you want something to make you look tougher, i suggest going butch hairstyle. or you could try for long hair.

2 days before CNY can range from no increase to double depending on salon.

my hair is super thin. a hairdresser told me i have a 'baby' hair. very soft and thin . i need to apply ALOT of gatsby wax in order to make it spiky. i think that what caused flaky scalp.. rclxub.gif

Hey I think if u wanna have a messy look u can try curling the top of your hair a bit. Of course not like those maggi mee curls but the curls are like maybe each strands like one ring only? It'll provide more texture and volume to the top of ur head (and give u kinda a messy look w/o needing to spend too much time on it). Just ask the hairdresser for a ring perm/bangle perm.

Went to Rizz for a haircut with Danny today. And I've got to agree that he's very meticulous with what he does. thumbup.gif I have pretty short hair and it still took him nearly an hour to get my hair done. It was rm65. More expensive than the regular rm55 due to the chinese new year.

There's 1 salon on the ground floor at Ampang Park. I donno the salon's name but I do know 2 things. This hairstylist really know how to make my hair looks neat & trendy. Her name is Catherine. I just had only 2 times normal hair cut with her. All I said to her was like - make it short, neat & suits my face (like always). The finishing was really satisfied me. Well, I know that this is so subjective after all. Good for me but it might be no good for others. The best thing is just try once at any salons & you will know later whether you will come back to the same salon or ban it for life!

Prefer male hair stylists.
The salon should be easily accessible, in shopping malls, near lrt etc.
Price RM25-55, acceptable range.
Any recommendations?
List the good ones or the ones who satisfy most customers.
Thanks smile.gif

The Metz. Beside Park Royal Hotel,

Look for Alex, been with him for the past 4 years, he surprises me every visit with some slight changes and given me tips and style that suits me.

price around RM 90, but after your first cut if you make appointment for next cut there and then, you get 20% off for your next cut, which brings it down to about RM 72.

Accessible wise, right smack in the middle of town where Monorail station is just 2 minutes walk away.

I used to go headline salon in kl plaza last time, they have moved to pavilion now..rm50

i heard there are color experts, perm experts etc..meaning to say they r really gud with tat particular thingy.. Bt the guy, vincent has moved to iph now, he even did hair for Akademi fantasia 2 stars for their maxis promo,
i had bad exp with APT lowyat.. I wanted to do twist perm, then got bunch of ppl standing around me..looking. Siau la..the 1 who was doin-senior stylist, in the end the result turn out to be nitemare, when done.then cn style it,blow2 put wax, once i wash, aiyoo, screamin in the bathroom,,sum part of my head.the hair missing, coz of the permin lotion.nt a lot, bt still obvious, in malay they call it 'tobek' ..later have to cut n Botak for 2mths.

i've moved to iph now, i found tis place in yik fong, 1st floor..under the escalator, rm15-20, go find the owner, he's cuttin too, bt have to wait, long q esp weekend..even when i was in kl every mth i come bck to iph, i'll go there to have a cut, why wana pay more if cn get cheaper price with same result.

if u have alredi got ur fav hair stylist, try nt to change. Coz he understands more bout ur style . Sumtimes we want tis n tat, bt a gud 1 will alwez adv u wat ok n wats not, still remember goin to headline salon n i told vincent i want dye my hair red, he replied 'wah u wanna join aunty2 play mahjong huh'

Mid Valley A Cut Above sucks. I grow my hair for 5 months and a stylist just cut it off. I said for several times I want long bang and side so don't cut it. But he( a young male stylist) ignore it. my bang is nearly reach my mouth but now above my eyes.

Fcck you A-cut Above. I pay RM45 for a shit hairstyle.

Added on July 17, 2010, 10:21 pmJust wash my shorty hair, I'm really not happy with this fccking hairstyle. What the hell A Cut Above stylist.
