Nothing beat the Berba to us on transfer dateline. That was the best dateline transfer ever. Spurs playing hardball, Citeh got a bid accepted, and apparently Berba flown to Manchester to meet Citeh only for SAF to hijack him at the airport and pick him up to take to OT for transfer discussion. Rumours flow said we haven't agreed a fee with Spurs and they didn't allow us to speak with him yet at the time, blablabla. He can be seen walking inside OT through the windows.. fuuh. That was epic.

i wish we are the one who baiting vdv from RM. he maybe not young, but at least he can offers some creativeness in the middle of the field.

scholes is great so far, but at his age, i wonder how far can he handle the burden of playmaker alone in such a long season..

Again, we spent 20++m on Hernandez, Smalling & Bebe so there is money when needed. With the level of debt we have, the Glazers could just simply say no money and we won't able to do any signings at all but the fact is that they DID made the money available.

The important thing is the mix of youngs and olds....

IMO, we have the best balance in term of youngs/experienced.

GK we have VDS to guide the 2nd GK and to organize the young defenders during match.

DEF - Rio, Vidic, Neville and Johnny Evans is coming up very very well...

MF - Scholes/Giggs...

FWD - Need not to say smile.gif

milan sign robinho and ibra because borriello is not performing and inzaghi is 37 this years.

sign players is not buy vege ...

before you sign, you need to know what player you lacking ...

at this moment, i can't see united need sign any more players ...

strikers - rooney, berbatov, owen, hernandez ...

midfielders - giggs and park left wingers, nani and valencia right winger ... centre are scholes, carrick, gibson and fletcher, anderson and hargreaves are still injured ...

so, i cant see fergie need any more signing ...

remember what happen to pompey ?

scholes, carrick, gibson and fletcher, anderson and hargreaves most def mid,
we need some 1 upfront!
van der vaart really good choice too bad SAF not going to sign him, his free kick
much better than our nani or ronney. rumors current price tag less than 10m
totally worth the money

Most of them are defensive midfielder? Fletcher & Hargreaves probably but for others, how can they classified as defensive? They might be playing deep but that doesn't mean they are defensive minded.

being the biggest club, most valued in the world plus money from ron 80mil transfer we should hv money for transfer. exclude the ron money still club like united status should hv transfer budjet atleast 20++mil every season.
man utd sure would be better financially if we still a PLC club before those damn glazers takeover. taking loans, put it on club asset and now its the fan who acctually finance them..

I honestly do not see how scholes, carrick, gibson and anderson can be deemed as defensive players.

I agree, the Glazers have put a huge burden on United. I agree, a club of United's stature should have the budget/resources to do what needs doing if needs be.

But please bear in mind, having the budget /= having to spend that budget every season. Already we have spent 20++ million on 3 players. This shows that the money is there. The question is, do we really need to spend big on a big player? I seriously do not think there is a need for any more major additions, unless Fergie has given up on one of the current first team players. E.g. Hargreaves, etc. So far it doesn't look like this has happened.
