No, don't think so... he has already made the world shock by signing Bebe... signing someone out of a sudden today seems unthinkable... biggrin.gif

i also dont think there will be a last minute signing from SAF... but maybe Man City will blast a few more hundred million before the closing window since there just lost a match over the weekend tongue.gif

And for the merdeka, it's true that this few years the celebration been tone down... hardly see cars on the road with jalur gemilang, shops also not many putting up a flag nowadays. Probably it's a way to show that they are not so happy with the big boss doing to the country hmm.gif

If news from Hargreaves' camp is negative, we would buy a midfielder of similar ability I guess. If it's still undecided, don't think we'll make a move as frustrating as it is. Saha case again. Luckily we have Fletcher to perform similar type of roles. But even he need a backup.

in my view, i tink SAF should sign a goal scoring midfielder rather than a defensive type of player in Rodwell...dnt get me wrong..Rodwell is a great talent but we do hv good cover in that department...we need a creative spark from midfiled more...you can't always expect from the strikers all the time.

Goal scoring midfielder? I suppose you didn't mean wingers right? Scoring midfielder, lemme think, except Scholes during his prime time, I can't think of any midfielder scoring more than 10 or 15 goals a season for us. And I beg to differ on the defensive midfield department because other than Carrick, I can't think of any natural defensive midfielder in the team but this doesn't mean that I wanted Rodwell in the team because he would become another liability in the midfield, just like De Jong and Sissoko. Know how to win the ball and tackle but don't know how to use the ball.

SAF style is always getting a reliable midfield that can go forward and track back, just like Keano, Fletcher, Anderson and in the youth we got Cleverly and Gibson, Eikrem. Old is gold and I believe with Carrick and Anderson growing experience, they could fit in the gap left by Scholes when he retired.
