some ppl block the ps3 slim air flow, just to test out ps3 slim ylod... happened with model 2006 before (power supply kaput)

why is that so shocking?

i hope playstation user whether u own a fat or slim please try not to be a fanboy/girl claiming the ps3 slim is YLOD proof.. or saying the ps3 phat is better built in quality or vice versa.. without the fat, the slim will not be born..

YLOD is a hardware defect problem due to use of inferior soldering material/thermal pasting which will melt over time and causes breakage or cracks at the RSX GPU thus connection with the mother board is loosen.. most fat ps3 is out in 2006.. some are as old as 4-5 years old.. compared with the slim which is new and some have just clock a year or over warranty period... and now.. similar issues are faced by some owners.. though the numbers are rarely seen or heard.. but be prepared for the worst...

hi all, today or now i turn on my ps3..always show signing in psn but never sign in .then i navigate other menu and hang/freeze. anyone know why?

not kaya..just that getting something new is much less hassle than repairs.

if repairs cost RM300..then it dies again a few months later...you have to fork out ANOTHER sum of cash to repair it...then maybe another sum...it may never end.

so at the end of the day, best just get anew.

no problems for me.
the trophy registration failure sounds alot like the dreaded apocalyPS3

at least kalau lenjan konsol 24/7 selama 2 tahun lebih kena YLOD tapi puas hati, daripada beli mahal-mahal dok selimut konsol tu last2 kena YLOD buat hape

until today when i go in game..it show message "registration of the trophy information could not be completed. the game will quit (80022d88)". game name castlevanie: lord of shadow. i also try deleted the game save and data. reinstall/save again. same error message

nothing to do with game data.update your trophy with psn server by clicking on your trophy icon at game xmb or click your psn profile.if the problem still there after updating with psn server
did you use other ppl save file coz some games will not unlock trophies if using other ppl save file

tomorrow update got Prototype as downloadable game.didnt expect this game, of all big titles to be out on PSN.
hope in the future more big titles make its way to "the cheaper way"...hehe
cost/5 = a healthy wallet
